THE LEAGUE OF OFF-BROADWAY THEATRES AND PRODUCERS today announced the nominations for THE 23rd ANNUAL LUCILLE LORTEL AWARDS FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT OFF-BROADWAY, which will be presented on Monday, May 5th at the Union Square Theatre (100 East 17th Street).

Don't Quit Your Night Job, the critically acclaimed comedy variety show featuring a revolving cast of Broadway's brightest performing without a net, welcomed Sutton Foster, Norbert Leo Butz and Andrea Martin among their stars on Thursday, March 27 at The Zipper.

Xanadu star Kerry Butler and Costume Designers Suzy Benzinger, Alvin Colt, Linda Fisher, Jane Greenald, Desmond Heeley, Willa Kim, Eugene Lee, Kitty Leech, William Ivey Long, Jeff Mahshie, Martin Pakladinaz, Sally Ann Parsons, Robert Perziola, Jose Varona, and David Zinn, among others will be celebrating the Theatre Development Fund's Irene Sharaff Awards given for outstanding achievement in costume design. The awards are presented through TDF's Costume Collection.

Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS is proud to present a special performance of PAMELA'S FIRST MUSICAL, a new musical with music by Tony Award® winner Cy Coleman, lyrics by Tony Award® winner David Zippel, book by Tony® & Pulitzer Award winner Wendy Wasserstein and directed by Tony Award® nominee Graciela Daniele, on Sunday, May 18 at 3 PM at Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) with a reception at Sardi's immediately following. Proceeds will benefit BC/EFA and Theatre Development Fund's Open Doors Program, which Wasserstein founded.

Today, the Commercial Theater Institute (CTI) released the program schedule for its annual three-day intensive training program, 'Producing for the Commercial Theatre.'

The Commercial Theater Institute and the O'Neill Theater Center announce a new joint program, The CTI-O'Neill Summer Workshop.

It is Theatre Development Fund's belief that future audiences are built by engaging students, first-hand, in the vital and exciting activity of the creative process, as well as providing opportunities to see live performances of great theatre. To that end, 1,000 New York City high school students from Manhattan, Brooklyn, and The Bronx who are participating in TDF's Stage Doors Program will be attending the new Broadway musical, In The Heights on Wednesday, May 12 at 2pm at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

The Broadway League has awarded its coveted New York Education Grants to the Broadway productions of Manhattan Theater Club's Come Back, Little Sheba, by William Inge, and to Lincoln Center Theater's production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific.

For anyone interested in the business behind the show, the Commercial Theater Institute (CTI) will once again offer its annual three-day intensive training program, 'Producing for the Commercial Theatre.' Nick Scandalios, Executive Vice President of The Nederlander Organization, will be presented The Commercial Theater Institute's Robert Whitehead Award for 'outstanding achievement in commercial theatre producing' at a reception on Tuesday, March 11, at Sardi's Restaurant.

The 2008 Fred & Adele Astaire Awards recognizing excellence in dance on both stage and film have announced that nine time Tony Award & two time Astaire Award winner Tommy Tune will receive the 2008 Fred & Adele Astaire Lifetime Achievement at the awards gala slate for June 2, 2008

Rosie O'Donnell, the 13-time Emmy Award-winning comedian, television talk show host, author, film, television, and stage actress kicked off this year's Kids' Night on Broadway, the annual event during which young people ages 6 to 18 can attend a Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

After a hiatus of 3 years, The Astaire Awards will once again recognize excellence in dance on both stage and film.

Legendary designers John Conklin and Robert Fletcher are among the recipients of the 2008 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards. For his achievements as both a costume and set designer, John Conklin will receive the TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards' special Robert L. B. Tobin Award for Lifetime Achievement in Theatrical Design. Acclaimed costume designer Robert Fletcher, who also produced, performed and designed sets, will receive the 2008 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award at a ceremony on Friday, March 28, at the Hudson Theatre in New York City.

The League of Off-Broadway Theatres and Producers announced that The 23rd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway will be presented on Monday, May 5th at the Union Square Theatre

Tickets are on sale now for Kids' Night on Broadway, the night kids age 6 to 18 get to see a Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. With Rosie O'Donnell as the National Ambassador, this year's Kids' Night on Broadway will take place on February 5, 6, 12 & 13, 2008 in New York
