by Tyler Peterson
- Dec 17, 2012
Dubble Bubble gum, Planters peanuts, Dannon yogurt, Campbell's soup, and SunChips. We crave them. Buy them. Open them, and eat them. But behind every one of these deceptively simple food products is a fascinating and intricate process involving grand machinery, a symphony of assembly lines, and a suite of weird and wonderful steps that carries each treat from the factory floor right into your kitchen. Destination America's new series FOOD FACTORY takes viewers behind the scenes to see how some of America's most beloved products are made. From iconic international brands to mom-and-pop products, each involves a process ripe with zigs, zags, swoops, and alleyoops as they travel down the production line. Along the way, marvel at the machinery - some mega, some miniscule - sophisticated manufacturing techniques, and revealing food science. Narrated by 'The Howard Stern Show' radio personality and Destination America veteran Jon Hein, FOOD FACTORY premieres on Monday, January 14 at 10 and 10:30 PM (E/P) on Destination America.
