King's Head Theatre and Making Productions are pleased to announce casting for Robert Chesley's play Jerker, which returns to London for the first time in 29 years. Tibu Fortes will play Bert and Tom Joyner will play J R, directed by Ben Anderson. Jerker runs at the Kings Head Theatre between 30 October and 23 November 2019 (press night Friday 1 November).

Casting has been announced for the first major revival of The Permanent Way, which first had an award-winning run in York and then at the National Theatre in 2003.

Papatango today announces the creative team for the world première of Samuel Bailey's Shook a?" this year's winner of the annual Papatango New Writing Prize. The company's Artistic Director George Turvey directs, with set and costume design by Jasmine Swan, lighting design by Johanna Town, and sound design by Richard Hammarton. The production opens on 1 November at Southwark Playhouse, with previews from 30 October, and runs until 23 November 2019. In 2017, Young Vic Taking Part took the Young Vic's production of The Brothers Size, by Moonlight writer Tarell Alvin McCraney, into HMP Wandsworth. The workshops led by Liverpool-born playwright Luke Barnes and director Justin Audibert which followed resulted in a brand-new piece of theatre - The Jumper Factory - developed with eight Wandsworth prisoners.

The Young Vic today announce the complete cast for The Jumper Factory. Joining original company members Ayomide Adegun, Jake Mills, Pierre Moullier and Raphael Gwilliams-Akuwudike are Joe Haddad and Rasaq Kukoyi. The production is presented by a cast of young men aged from 18 a?" 25, whose lives have all been affected in some way by the criminal justice system. The production will be staged for prisoners in HMP Brixton and HMP Wandsworth in early September, before playing at HOME Manchester from 10 a?" 14 September.

The UK première of the hit Off-Broadway musical SHIDA, written and performed by Jeannette Bayardelle, is today announced. The award-winning production, directed by Andy Sandberg, opens at The Vaults on 13 September, with previews from 11 September, and runs until 13 October.
