KRAVIS CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS Announces 26th Annual Season of Spectacular Concerts, Blockbuster Performances and Smash Hits from Broadway

Responding directly to audience requests for "more Broadway, more comedy, more music superstars from Bach to rock," the 26th annual season of the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts promises a dynamic playbill of award-winning shows, world-class talents and powerful performances that will generate enthusiastic standing ovations from our discerning audience members of every age and demographic.

Palm Beach Symphony has announced its 2017-18 season featuring the launch of its first Chamber Music Concert Series, acclaimed guest artists in a thrilling Masterworks Concert Series, free engaging community and educational concerts and a full social calendar of highly-anticipated events.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is excited to announce its newest arts education program, the Kravis Center Dream Awards: Celebrating High School Musical Theater Excellence.

American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Curriculum Certified faculty member, Michele Zehner, from the Florida School for Dance Education, guided West Palm Beach area children through a fun activity-based movement class designed to introduce them to the art form of classical ballet.

MNM Productions presents Monty Python's Spamalot at the Kravis Center of the Performing Arts. Featuring music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, and book and lyrics by Eric Idle, Monty Python's Spamalot is a musical comedy lovingly ripped-off from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The title of the musical comes from a line in the movie which goes: 'we eat ham, and jam, and Spam a lot.' Like the film, written by Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, it is a highly irreverent parody of the Arthurian Legend, but it differs from the film in many ways

Pascal Rioult's renowned dance company, RIOULT Dance NY, the American modern dance company with a European sensibility, announces its 2017 season at The Joyce Theater, May 31 - June 4. This year, Rioult unveils two groundbreaking dances: the world premiere of Fire in the Sky and a re-staging of the classic Te Deum.

Several recent Carbonell Award winners are today announcing their first joint production.

The hills - and the Dreyfoos Hall lobby - will come alive with the sound of music when eight different student choral ensembles from throughout Palm Beach County sing prior to performances of The Sound of Music at the Kravis Center, May 9-14.

Shopkins Live! (www.shopkinsliveontour.com), the firstlive theatrical production based on the phenomenally successful Shopkins toy brand will bring the national tour to the Kravis Center, it was jointly announced today by Gilles Paquin, President and CEO of Koba Entertainment, and Nicole Hardiman, Senior Licensing Manager at Moose Toys. The6:30 pm performance on Thursday, October 12, will be staged in the Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. Concert Hall.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts has been awarded a $100,000 grant from Disney to bring the Disney Musicals in Schools program to Palm Beach County.

Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), opens at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on April 18 - 23.

Me and My Girl, a splashy musical about a British bloke who discovers he's nobility, and The Royale, a powerful play by Miami native Marco Ramirez, based on the first black boxing champion, took their respective places in South Florida theatrical history as Best Musical and Best Play on Monday, April 3rd  when the winners of the 41st annual Carbonell Awards were announced. The lavish ceremony was held at Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, and   featured performances from each show nominated for Best Musical.

With a magical, memorable, musical flourish, the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts continues its star-packed 25th anniversary season with six spectacular concerts and shows in May and June.
