It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize administrator Mike Pride that Lynn Nottage's SWEAT has officially won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. 

The American Theatre Wing (Heather Hitchens, President) and The Village Voice (Peter Barbey, Owner & CEO) have just announced that the 62nd Annual Obie Awards will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street).

Storm Large, along with her band Le Bonheur, returns to the stage at South Orange Performing Arts Center May 5 at 8 p.m. to enchant audiences with Stormy Love, her singular renditions of American songbook classics. Cleveland Play House's Outcalt Theatre will be transformed into the rent-controlled apartment of ex-cop Walter 'Pops' Washington in the bold, fresh, and unfiltered work of renowned playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis. Packed with irreverent humor, lightning-quick dialogue, and tremendous heart, Between Riverside and Crazy is the Pulitzer Prize-winning dark comedy about family, pride, and redemption.

Hard Sparks gives the ancients a twist with a pair of shows in rep: Melody Bates and Rebecca Hart's The Cabaret at the End of the World (directed by Joan Jubett), set in a nightclub in Julius Caesar-era Rome; and Bob Bartlett's Bareback Ink (directed by David Drake), a modern queer update of the Ganymede myth, set in a tattoo shop.
