Under the leadership of Artistic Director Sarah Benson and Executive Director Cynthia Flowers, Soho Rep. has continually produced work by bold artists who harness the intimate power of the organization's own 73-seat black box theater, as well as other spaces, to create transformative experiences. Soho Rep.'s 2015-16 season, announced today, comprises two more ambitious new works-both characterized by irreverent humor, wild theatricality, and extraordinarily inventive language-and Write with Us, a series of open-to-the-public writing workshops led by acclaimed, Soho Rep.-produced playwrights.

The Joyce Theater Foundation, Linda Shelton Executive Director, proudly kicks-off its 2015 fall season on September 22 with a world premiere by Camille A. Brown & Dancers. The work, BLACK GIRL: Linguistic Play, will be performed by an all-female cast during the company's week-long engagement at The Joyce, which runs through September 27. Plath. had its first production at Columbia University's Glicker-Milstein Theatre in Fall 2014, and the creative team is excited to bring this new musical to the New York International Fringe Festival this August under the direction of Emily Feinstein.

California Shakespeare Theater today announced the appointment of Eric Ting as the company's new Artistic Director. The announcement, by Cal Shakes Board President Jean Simpson and Search Committee Chair Kate Stechschulte, caps an extensive seven-month nationwide search. Ting will serve as the fifth artistic director in the company's history, succeeding outgoing Artistic Director Jonathan Moscone, who completed his 16-year tenure with the opening of The Mystery of Irma Vep.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced a new CheapTix program, which will make all single tickets to the first two performances of every NYTW production available to the general public at $25. The program will kick off with FONDLY, COLLETTE RICHLAND, the first production of the New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) 2015/16 Season. FONDLY, COLLETTE RICHLAND begins previews on Friday, September 11, 2015 and officially opens on Monday, September 28, 2015 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003) for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 18, 2015. Theater for the New City presents BIKE SHOP, The Musical starring Elizabeth Barkan and directed by Gretchen Cryer starting at TNC's Cino Theater September 11th and running thru September 27th. The libretto is by Elizabeth Barkan with lyrics by Caroline Murphy and music by Youn-Young Park. Gerry Deiffenbach is Musical Director.

A developmental reading of JONI, a new musical by David Reiser (writer of Any Other Way, Walker in Babylon), will be presented at 4:30PM August 25 and 1PM August 26 at Shetler Studios in Manhattan.

Geffen Playhouse just announced the cast for the West Coast premiere of GUARDS AT THE TAJ by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Steinberg Award recipient Rajiv Joseph. Raffi Barsoumian will star as Humayun, opposite Ramiz Monsef as Babur.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) just published Young Jean Lee's WE'RE GONNA DIE. The play premiered in the winter of 2011 at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater in New York City. It has had subsequent productions in cities across the country and around the world including Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Calgary, Seoul, and Brighton.

The Board of Directors for The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center today announced the appointment of veteran arts executive Wiley Hausam as the organization's new Artistic and Executive Director. Hausam will assume his new role at The Broad Stage, which presents the best in classical and jazz music, opera recitals, theater, dance and children's programming, on October 1. He will be charged with leading the Santa Monica cultural institution in the next phase of its journey-including the opening of its newly expanded $23 million East Wing facilities on the SMC Performing Arts campus in early 2016-while building on its successful seven year legacy.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents La-Ti-Do on September 1, 2015 at 9:30pm. La-Ti-Do is a cabaret where musical theatre and spoken word poetry collide. La-Ti-Do debuts at 54 Below featuring some of both Washington, DC and New York's finest musical and spoken word talent.
