Under the leadership of Artistic Director Sarah Benson and Executive Director Cynthia Flowers, Soho Rep. has continually produced work by bold artists who harness the intimate power of the organization's own 73-seat black box theater, as well as other spaces, to create transformative experiences. Soho Rep.'s 2015-16 season, announced today, comprises two more ambitious new works-both characterized by irreverent humor, wild theatricality, and extraordinarily inventive language-and Write with Us, a series of open-to-the-public writing workshops led by acclaimed, Soho Rep.-produced playwrights.
Joyce Theater to Open Fall Season with Camille A. Brown & Dancers

The Joyce Theater Foundation, Linda Shelton Executive Director, proudly kicks-off its 2015 fall season on September 22 with a world premiere by Camille A. Brown & Dancers. The work, BLACK GIRL: Linguistic Play, will be performed by an all-female cast during the company's week-long engagement at The Joyce, which runs through September 27. California Shakespeare Theater Names New Artistic Director

California Shakespeare Theater today announced the appointment of Eric Ting as the company's new Artistic Director. The announcement, by Cal Shakes Board President Jean Simpson and Search Committee Chair Kate Stechschulte, caps an extensive seven-month nationwide search. Ting will serve as the fifth artistic director in the company's history, succeeding outgoing Artistic Director Jonathan Moscone, who completed his 16-year tenure with the opening of The Mystery of Irma Vep.
NYTW Now Offering $25 Tickets to First Two Previews of All Upcoming Shows

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced a new CheapTix program, which will make all single tickets to the first two performances of every NYTW production available to the general public at $25. The program will kick off with FONDLY, COLLETTE RICHLAND, the first production of the New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) 2015/16 Season. FONDLY, COLLETTE RICHLAND begins previews on Friday, September 11, 2015 and officially opens on Monday, September 28, 2015 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003) for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 18, 2015. Theatre Communications Group (TCG) just published Young Jean Lee's WE'RE GONNA DIE. The play premiered in the winter of 2011 at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater in New York City. It has had subsequent productions in cities across the country and around the world including Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Calgary, Seoul, and Brighton.
Wiley Hausam Named New Artistic & Executive Director of Broad Stage

The Board of Directors for The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center today announced the appointment of veteran arts executive Wiley Hausam as the organization's new Artistic and Executive Director. Hausam will assume his new role at The Broad Stage, which presents the best in classical and jazz music, opera recitals, theater, dance and children's programming, on October 1. He will be charged with leading the Santa Monica cultural institution in the next phase of its journey-including the opening of its newly expanded $23 million East Wing facilities on the SMC Performing Arts campus in early 2016-while building on its successful seven year legacy.
