Castillo Theatre (543 W. 42nd Street) proudly presents the world premiere production of Dishwasher Dreams, written and performed by comedian, performer and storyteller Alladin Ullah. Directed by GabrielVega Weissman, the production runs from October 26 - November 18, 2018.

Producer Jeffrey Seller, Shea's Performing Arts Center, and Albert Nocciolino announced today that tickets for HAMILTON will be available online through Ticketmaster Verified Fan, on Friday, October 5 at 8:00 AM ET. Verified Fan is a new fan-facing technology from Ticketmaster that allows pre-registered fans to unlock access to tickets without competing against scalpers and bots.

As part of the "Ailey Ascending" 60th Anniversary celebration, the Choreography Unlocked Festival of performance, conversation, and master classes will take place at Ailey's home across two weekends - October 12 - 14 & 26- 28. Building on the success of the New Directions Choreography Lab, created by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Artistic Director Robert Battle in 2011, the festival will elevate The Joan Weill Center for Dance's role in the community as a hub for creating and presenting new work and fostering the next generation of choreographers.  

Kate Baldwin returns to Feinstein's/54 Below direct from the hit Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly! Hailed as "the redheaded firecracker" (Stephen Holden, New York Times), Kate was nominated for the 2017 Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle awards for her performance as Irene Molloy.

MAX VERNON will launch his first ever residency at Joe's Pub at The Public this fall. MAX VERNON: Existential Life Crisis Lullaby will be performed Today nights, September 25, October 23 and November 27, all at 7:00 PM.

Art House Productions announces its full schedule of arts programming from September 2018 until June 2019.  Beginning in September, Art House presents its first Artist-in-Residence: Raven Taisce White. Raven is a trans woman from South Carolina and her company, BIRDHOUSE perform a reimagining of their piece Hot Winter. Hot Winter follows five humans as they struggle to understand one another, unifying in difference and falling apart in sameness and is a surrealistic look at the performers' collective universe.

After a successful run at NYC's legendary Joe's Pub at The Public Theater, singer, dancer and performer, Migguel Anggelo is returning to the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) on Oct. 19 to present his show, So Close: Love & Hate as part of DIA's Friday Night Live! series

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin performances of the MOBILE UNIT NATIONAL TOUR of Lynn Nottage's powerful Pulitzer Prize-winning play, SWEAT, directed by Kate Whoriskey, on September 27 in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Today, Ghostlight Records releases Hundred Days, the original cast recording of the critically-acclaimed new musical, in streaming and digital formats today, Friday, September 21.

Acclaimed playwright Sarah Ruhl - who twice has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for drama, a Tony Award nominee and the recipient of a MacArthur 'Genius' Grant - has been named as the 2018-19 Ingram New Works Playwriting Fellow at Nashville Repertory Theatre.

Miriam Shor will star in the film, Magic Hour, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Shor will play an embattled female filmmaker in the indie comedy by Jacqueline Christy. The film will shoot in New York City.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the New York premiere of MOTHER OF THE MAID September 25 and has been extended a final three weeks through Sunday, December 23.

"EXTRA, EXTRA!" Disney's NEWSIES! is hot off the press at The Public Theater of San Antonio. Based on the real-life strike of 1899, NEWSIES! tells the story of Manhattan newsboys as they take a stand against publishing giant, Mr. Pulitzer, to get the pay they deserve. It is a powerful story of hope, loyalty, and fighting for what you believe in.

Joe's Pub at The Public presents the North American premiere of Murray Hill: About To Break, a new comedy and theatrical event, running September 20-22 and 27-29. About To Break is written and performed by Hill and directed and developed with Tony Award-winning lyricist, writer, and director Scott Wittman. Renowned as a comic host around the world, this new show is a departure, putting Hill center stage in the first major dedicated solo show of his long, storied career. Musical direction is by Paul Leschen with original music by Hill with Wittman, Marc Shaiman, Kyle Forrester, Eric Kornfeld, Jesse Elder, and Leschen.

Adam Bock's A Life, commissioned by Portland Center Stage at The Armory, will receive its West Coast debut at The Armory following the success of the play's world premiere in New York. A Life begins preview performances on September 29, opens on October 5, and runs through November 11 in the Ellyn Bye Studio. Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan, who has frequently partnered with Bock, will direct. Nat DeWolf (Broadway: Take Me Out) will make his company debut as the astrology-loving and hopelessly single Nate Martin. DeWolf is joined by Cycerli Ash, also making her debut at The Armory, as well as returning artists Dana Green (Major Barbara and many others) and Gary Norman (Our Town).
