Dorset Theatre Festival has announced the launch of its new Commissioning and Fellowship Program, welcoming returning director Jade King Carroll as Resident Artist, who will design and oversee this program in collaboration with Artistic Director Dina Janis. Carroll will also work with Janis in producing the Festival’s new StageFree Audio Plays.

The Spring 2021 Season offers three moving, one-person performances: Colman Domingo’s A Boy and His Soul, directed by Craig Wallace; Lucy Alibar’s Throw Me on the Burnpile and Light Me Up, directed by Round House Artistic Director Ryan Rilette; and Young Jean Lee’s We’re Gonna Die, directed by Paige Hernandez.

The Public Theater of San Antonio's production of Thurgood is back for FOUR special encore performances this month. Celebrate Black History with this immersive and historical production.

A new remix of Billy Porter's 'Finally Ready' has been released today! UK house label, Defected Records released 'Finally Ready' from The Shapeshifters featuring Porter earlier this June. On November 13, they released two new remixes of the track from house music producer, David Penn and Polish production team, Catz and Dogz.

Americans for the Arts announced today three extraordinary artists as recipients of the 2021 Johnson Fellowship for Artists Transforming Communities: Rosten Woo of Los Angeles for his work in public art and design, Laurie Woolery of New York for her work in theater, and Eddy Kwon of Brooklyn and Cincinnati for their work in music.

Portland Center Stage has commissioned four new plays from celebrated writers Brittany K. Allen, Christina Anderson, Christopher Chen, and Portland-based Anya Pearson. The commissions are part of the PCS Remix: Commissions program, which was launched to lift up some of the most exciting voices in American theater while stages are dark.

San Diego Repertory Theatre and Amigos del REP announced today a live streamed reading of Anna in the Tropics, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Nilo Cruz. The play reading will be streamed on Monday, February 15th at 5 PM PST (6 PM MST, 7 PM CST, 8 PM EST), and will be available for viewing until Thursday, February 18th at 11:59PM PST.

The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi has announced the return of Barzakh Festival for its fifth edition; the event will be streamed online for three nights on February 1, 3, and 6. The cross-cultural lineup features three globally renowned groups who encapsulate The Arts Center’s theme for the season.

Baryshnikov Arts Center will present the first installment of its 2021 digital spring season beginning on Monday, February 1 at 5pm ET. The series kicks off with Vibhanga, a non-narrative dance set to a reimagined score of traditional South Indian music, conceived and choreographed by classical Indian dancer Bijayini Satpathy.
