Stephen Sachs directs Deaf actors Deanne Bray (Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, Heroes) and Troy Kotsur (title role in Cyrano at the Fountain, Big River on Broadway) in Sachs' newest play, inspired by the screenplay for Noel Coward's Brief Encounter. The world premiere of Arrival & Departure will open on July 14 and continue through September 30 at the Fountain Theatre. Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's Pay What You Want theatre company, has announced the first production of its ninth season, Slaughter City by Naomi Wallace. Directed by Coeurage Artistic Director Jer Adrianne Lelliott, there will be one preview performance on Friday, June 22, at 8pm and opening is set for Saturday, June 23, at 8pm. Slaughter City will play through July 14 at the Historic Lankershim Arts Center in North Hollywood.

The award-winning Impro Theatre presents their third annual Pledge Drive UnScripted benefit event, which includes a crowdfunding campaign, a silent auction - and a 30-hour non-stop marathon showcasing their signature improvisation. The event takes place in the intimate Impro Studio in the heart of Los Feliz Village from July 6-7, 2018. Pledge Drive UnScripted features dozens of performers, and proceeds benefit Impro Theatre's operations which include the celebrated Impro Theatre School and the flourishing Impro Studio.

LA's own Impro Theatre concludes their yearlong residency at The Edye at The Broad Stage, presenting a different style of their signature improvisation for one weekend, each month. For the final show in their residency, Impro Theatre will pay homage to one of America's most prolific playwrights Tennessee Williams UnScripted (June 15 - 17). Starting with audience suggestions, Impro Theatre captures Williams' masterful storytelling and delicious language as it creates full-length plays that are hilarious, yet as tragic as a Southern belle's broken heart.
