LABA: A Laboratory for Jewish Culture, working in collaboration with choreographer Renana Raz, whose work has been called "brilliant" by the Israeli press, is pleased to announce the first-ever international production of MOTHER.NET. The show aims to take the usually isolated experience of watching YouTube videos and turns it into a public experience. To close its 47th Season, Marin Theatre Company will produce the West Coast premiere of Failure: A Love Story by the 'hugely talented Chicago writer' (Chicago Tribune) Philip Dawkins. Directed by MTC's artistic director Jasson Minadakis, this 'enchanted and enchanting' play about love and loss will feature five actors playing multiple characters, using puppets and playing live music both original (by MTC's frequent collaborator Chris Houston, a Berkeley-based composer and musician) and from the era of the play - 1920s Chicago.

The Snow Queen:The New Musical that made its world premiere at San Jose Repertory Theatre last December, is an 'Official Selection of the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival,' the most prestigious musical theatre festival in the world. A full featured production of the fantastical coming-of-age tale based on Hans Christian Andersen's story was chosen as the one 'Family Musical' in the annual festival that runs July 7 - July 27, 2014. Half of the original cast will return, including Jane Pfitsch, who will take time off from Cabaret on Broadway with Alan Cumming to reprise her role as the Snow Queen. The show will have five performances at The Alice Giffin Jewel Box Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center.

According to an Equity casting notice, the musical version of The First Wives Club might be heading to Broadway in Fall 2015. The musical, which premiered at San Diego's Old Globe in 2009, is set to get a pre-Broadway run at Chicago's Oriental Theatre, opening February 16, 2015. The production will be directed by Simon Phillips and choreographed by David Connolly.

The longest running comedy in New York, now in its second smash year, has announced the addition of a Dallas engagement to the first national tour of Buyer & Cellar, the critically acclaimed, award winning play about a (fictional) Los Angeles actor who takes a job working in the (very real) basement shopping arcade of Barbra Streisand's Malibu estate.
