Jonathan Tolins' outrageous new comedy 'Buyer & Cellar' featuring Michael Urie (TV's 'Ugly Betty') opens at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at 7 p.m. Directed by Stephen Brackett, this New York runaway hit continues through August 17.

The Old Globe presents the third production of the 2014 Summer Season, Ronald Harwood's comedy QUARTET, directed by Richard Seer (Other Desert Cities, God of Carnage, The Last Romance). Harwood received an Academy Award for his screenplay of The Pianist and was nominated for The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and The Dresser (also a hit on Broadway and the West End). Cabaret at The Merc's new 2014 Summer Series follows up Next to Normal with the Tony Award-winning musical sensation, Spring Awakening, book and lyrics by Steven Sater, music by Duncan Sheik, based on the play by Frank Wedekind, musical direction by Cris O'Bryon, choreography by Evan D'Angeles and directed by J. Three established Broadway professionals will help Iowa high school students sharpen their performance skills and learn more about the performing arts industry during the STAGEright Broadway Experience, a weeklong summer musical theater camp presented by Des Moines Performing Arts. The STAGEright Broadway Experience will take place July 14-18, 2014 at the Des Moines Civic Center.
