If ever a show has become part of the 'fabric' of New York and pop culture, it is the Tony Award-winning musical AVENUE Q -- with its colorful cast of humans and puppets. PTP/NYC announced today that Stephanie Janssen has joined the cast of Howard Barker's The Castle and will perform in select shows in the role of Skinner. Stephanie Janssen's Broadway credits include recent productions of Death of a Salesman and Mrs. Warren's Profession (Roundabout), and her Off-Broadway credits include Clive (The New Group), Ivanov (Classic Stage Company), Territories (PTP/NYC) and Crave (PTP/NYC).

SNAKES I HAVE KNOWN, a new play by Molly Montgomery based on her true story of fleeing Texas for NYC, will be presented in the 2013 New York International Fringe Festival.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola has announced that Fetch Clay, Make Man, written by Will Power and directed by Des McAnuff, will begin performances Friday, August 23 at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is set for Thursday, September 12 at 7pm. Fetch Clay, Make Man is scheduled to run through Sunday, October 13; tickets are on sale now.

The Los Angeles Crowdfunding Film Society will have its first meeting this Wednesday night. The 'meetup' is open to the public and is sponsored by The International Crowdfunding Film Festival(ICFFF.org). The event will begin at 7:00 pm and is being held at The Cat & Fiddle, in Hollywood.

MCC THEATER today announced that James Badge Dale (World War Z, HBO's The Pacific), James Ransone (HBO's 'The Wire') will replace Jon Bernthal and Christopher Fitzgerald in the New York Premiere of John Pollono's celebrated Small Engine Repair. Keegan Allen ('Pretty Little Liars') has also joined the cast. Small Engine Repair is the comic thriller that premiered to rave reviews and sold-out audiences at L.A.'s Rogue Machine Theatre, where it won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award for Playwriting, among many other honors. The New York production of Small Engine Repair will be directed by longtime MCC collaborator Jo Bonney (MCC's The Break of Noon, Some Girl(s), Fat Pig) and begins at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on October 30, 2013. An official opening night is set for November 18, 2013.

The Irish Repertory Theatre announces a second two-week extension of GIBRALTAR-Patrick Fitzgerald's acclaimed two-character adaptation of James Joyce's 'Ulysses'-with Off-Broadway performances now set to run through July 28 in the company's W.
