Casting for Announced for LONDON ASSURANCE

City Lit Theatre Artistic Director Terry McCabe has announced the cast for the company's season finale, the British comedy London Assurance. First produced in London in 1841 at the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden, and shortly thereafter in New York City, London Assurance is considered a transitional play between the 18th century comedies of Richard Brinsley Sheridan and Oliver Goldsmith and the late 19th Century plays of Oscar Wilde. It has been one of Great Britain's most popular comedies of the standard classical repertoire and in recent decades has been performed by some of Britain's leading actors.

The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre on Route 183 in Netcong completes its 35th Anniversary Main Stage season with Dr. Seuss's THE CAT IN THE HAT. The show runs May 5th through May 21st with performances Fridayevenings at 7:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 4:00 PM. Based on the book by Dr. Seuss and originally produced by the National Theatre of Great Britain, Dr. Seuss's THE CAT IN THE HAT was adapted and originally directed by Katie Mitchell.

The National Theatre has collaborated for the first time with the Citizens Theatre to create a new play inspired by the recent EU Referendum. The views of people from across the UK, including Glasgow, have been interwoven by Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy, and will be presented on stage at the Citizens Theatre from 28 Mar - 1 Apr, beginning the production's UK tour following dates in London.
