The Actors Fund to Host Screening of KING KONG Featuring Creative Team of Musical

The Actors Fund announced today that tickets are now on sale for a special screening of the original 1933 film King Kong, in partnership with the Jacob Burns Film Center (JBFC) as part of their ongoing film series, 'Life on the Stage: Conversation and Film.' The screening will be followed by a Q&A with members of the creative team of the upcoming Broadway musical

Over eight million people have lived to tell the tale of one of the most successful - and terrifying - theatre events ever staged, and it's coming to shock audiences in Chicago this fall. The Woman in Black - London's long-running West End play -  will open at Chicago's Royal George Theatre in November with all the stage thrills that have led audiences in London to shriek in fear for 30 years.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company is pleased to announce the complete casting and directors for the first four shows of its 2018/19 season: Downstate by Pulitzer Prize-winning ensemble member Bruce Norris; Familiar by Danai Gurira; La Ruta by Isaac Gomez; and A Doll's House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath. Directors Danya Taymor (Familiar) and Robin Witt (A Doll's House, Part 2) are added to the 2018/19 director lineup. Single tickets for Downstate and Familiar will go on sale Friday, August 10 at 11am. Single tickets for La Ruta and A Doll's House, Part 2 will go on sale Friday, October 19 at 11am. The National Theatre of Great Britain's Olivier and Tony Award®-winning production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME has opened in Brisbane (playing until 24 June) as part of an Australian tour including Canberra from 27 June, Sydney from 4 July, Adelaide from 31 July and Perth from 8 August. The tour comes after an acclaimed sell-out debut season in Melbourne earlier in the year and an Asian tour.

National Theatre CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME Announces Additional Performance

The National Theatre of Great Britain's Olivier and Tony Award-winning production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME will tour Australia for the first time from June 2018.  Due to popular demand an extra week has been added to the Sydney season with the production now playing until Saturday 28 July.  In this additional week there will be special midweek matinee performances on Wednesday 25 July and Thursday 26 July at 1pm.

Sally, Nick and their pet fish will take audiences on an unexpected adventure with the famous cat in the tall red and white striped hat and his mischievous companions - Thing 1 and Thing 2. This puppet-filled adventure explores curiosity, literacy and creativity and includes a gentle reminder about the challenge of responsibility. With plenty of rhymes, tricks and wit, the faithful adaptation of Dr. Seuss's classic tale will transport audiences from the page to the stage, as the performance brings the iconic illustrations from the book to life.
