The New 42nd Street Gala on Monday, October 17, 2011, will honor Cheryl Henson, President of The Jim Henson Foundation with the second annual New Victory Arts Award.

It just got a whole lot easier being green. Walt Disney Records is set to release Muppets: The Green Album, a musical tribute to the world's much-loved Muppets, featuring 12 fan favorite songs reinterpreted by today's hottest artists.

Television icon Regis Philbin, Muppets creator Jim Henson, the extraordinary actresses who vocally brought to life many modern-day Disney Princesses including Jodi Benson (Ariel from The Little Mermaid), Paige O'Hara (Belle from Beauty and the Beast), Lea Salonga (singing voices of Jasmine from Aladdin and Mulan from Mulan), Linda Larkin (speaking voice of Jasmine from Aladdin), and Anika Noni Rose (Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog) plus other equally impressive contributors to the Disney legacy will be named and honored as official Disney Legends during the D23 EXPO at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 19, in the Anaheim Convention Center Arena.

The Rocky Horror Show will run in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, Sept. 15 - Nov. 6. Preview performances run Sept. 15 - Sept. 22. Five exceptional young talents take on the songbook of one of America's favorite pop/folk/country music performers in Roxy Regional Theatre's production of Almost Heaven: Songs of John Denver, now onstage in Clarksville through July 2. Directed with obvious affection and respect for the musical revue's hero by Tom Thayer, it's as if the pop music soundtrack of the early- to mid-1970s (with attention paid to Denver's later efforts as well) has come to life in the just under two hours of music.

The Muppets have been a worldwide phenomena for more than 50 years. From their humble beginnings on local television and variety show appearances, through their incredible success in six theatrical motion pictures (including the original 1979 'Muppet Movie'), their Grammy-winning music career, and their Emmy-winning international television hit 'The Muppet Show', the Muppets have gone where no troupe of frogs, pigs, bears, and well, whatever, have ever gone before.

More than 30 years after their big screen debut, The Muppets are returning to the big screen in their new film, GREEN WITH ENVY . Featuring the talents of a slew of stars - Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Rashida Jones, Neil Patrick Harris, Katy Perry, Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Crystal, Liza Minnelli, Katy Griffin, and John Kraskinski, to name a few - the film is slated for a November 23 release.
