On her nights off from THE LYONS on Broadway, Linda Lavin - the Tony-nominated star of Nicky Silver's comedy - will perform two concerts at the Metropolitan Room (34 W. 22 St.) in Manhattan on Sunday, May 6 and Monday, May 7, both at 9:30 p.m.

On the season premiere, Emily's journey begins in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, where she lives with her six-year-old daughter, Ricki. After saying 'good night' to Ricki, Emily arrives at a southern mansion where she meets her 25 potential soulmates who have traveled across the country.

Following her whirlwind, sold-out South American tour, Demi Lovato announced today a 21-date North American tour which will kick off in Del Mar, CA on June 12th. Select dates will also feature special guests Hot Chelle Rae and Owl City.

Thus begins the farcical antics of the Woody Allen play, Don't Drink the Water, presented by Synergy Ensemble Theatre Company in their last show of the season. Almost 50 years since its premiere on Broadway, the humor holds up well in this production, directed by J. Timothy Conlon. But it doesn't always pack the punch it should due to sluggish pacing and some missed cues. Call it first-night jitters but this cast as a whole seemed to ease into their roles as the show went on before settling into a fine routine.

Just announced is word that the 2012 Tony Awards Nominations Announcement will be co-hosted by Tony winning actress Kristin Chenoweth and Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Jim Parsons on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

Carl Goodman, Executive Director of Museum of the Moving Image, today announced a seven-week extension for Jim Henson's Fantastic World, the Smithsonian traveling exhibition that explores the creative process of the world-renowned puppeteer, filmmaker, and television pioneer.

Stars of both stage and screen joined the celebration when the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning Vineyard Theatre honored Tony Award-winner Linda Lavin at the Off-Broadway company's annual Gala on Monday, March 12 at the Hudson Theater (145 West 44th Street) in Manhattan. Ms. Lavin made her Vineyard Theatre debut earlier this season in the critically acclaimed production of Nicky Silver's play THE LYONS.

'Book of Mormon's' Josh Gad is among the nominees for the second annual THE COMEDY AWARDS. Gad has been nominated for the 'Break Out Performer of the Year' award. The annual event dedicated to honoring and celebrating the world of comedy will be taped at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday, April 28 and will premiere on COMEDY CENTRAL on Sunday, May 6, 2012.

Nicky Silver's play THE LYONS -- a critical and popular success when it debuted last fall at Vineyard Theatre -- will transfer to Broadway's Cort Theatre (138 W. 48 St.) with its entire original cast expected to be inteact, including the Tony Award-winning stars Linda Lavin and Dick Latessa, along with Kate Jennings Grant, Brenda Pressley and Gregory Wooddell. HUGO AND HARRY POTTER and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 each received 10 nominations as the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films today announced nominations for the 38th Annual Saturn Awards, which will be presented on Wednesday, June 20.
