This is Avenue Q, a very different neighborhood, no less fun, but not for children! Stage West is importing the long-running Theatre 3 production of this mega-hit from Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx (Music & Lyrics) and Jeff Whitty (Book), featuring a brand-new set, for a 6-week run at Stage West beginning tonight, January 9.

On January 12, United Palace of Cultural Arts will kick off its series of classic New York movies- 'Sunday Movies at the Palace with Lin-Manuel Miranda,' which will return once a month through June. Lin-Manuel will introduce the 1984 film with a special Muppet-licious presentation followed by a raffle afterwards.

John Tartaglia, Tony-nominated actor who has appeared on Broadway in Shrek, Avenue Q, Hair and Beauty and the Beast, as well as TV's Sesame Street, has a long history of collaborating with The New York Pops. He will reunite with the Pops' Music Director Steven Reineke this Saturday to narrate a brand new family concert version of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS. Tartaglia recently chatted with BWW about guiding the audience through what he hopes will become a new holiday tradition, using his family programming background to his advantage, and directing the new musical Because of Winn Dixie, currently running in Little Rock.
