CVRTAIN places the participant center stage in a beautiful theater where a curtain parts to reveal an audience of thousands teeming with adulation.

Roundabout Theatre Company and the Board of Directors thank Michael Kors and Lance Le Pere for their generous $1.5 million gift to support Roundabout's 50th Anniversary Campaign. The New 42nd Street hosts its annual Gala, this year celebrating 25 years, tonight, April 11 at The New Victory Theater. The evening will honor Douglas Durst, Bruce C. Ratner, Daniel R. Tishman, and Mortimer B. Zuckerman with the Marian Heiskell Award and President of The New 42nd Street, Cora Cahan, with the New Victory Arts Award. Jane and Michael Eisner will serve as Gala honorary chairs.

NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver, FAICP announces the Arbor Day launch of the TreesCount! mobile app which will be used by volunteers to register and collect data during the largest street tree count in the nation. Trees Count! 2015 will officially begin with a kick-off event at Julio Carballo Park in the South Bronx on May 19. Parks is seeking to involve five thousand volunteers and is partnering with local civic and neighborhood groups to help make this census a success. Street trees make up approximately one fifth of all trees on City land and offer enormous public benefits. The knowledge gained from this census will be vital to the health of our urban forest. The Metropolitan Opera will open its 130th season on Monday, September 22 with a new production of Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, conducted by Met Music Director James Levine and directed by Richard Eyre.

Last night, May 2, The Town Hall, led by Marvin Leffler and Lawrence Zucker celebrated its 90th Anniversary with 'Town Hall at 90,' a benefit concert paying tribute to the rich cultural history of the institution from 1921 to the present day. The concert starred Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award nominee Liz Callaway, Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk, Theatre world and Emmy Award winner Tovah Feldshuh, legendary Jazz guitarist and banjoist Bucky Pizzarelli and Tony Award nominee Emily Skinner. Dancers/choreographers Jeffry Denman ('White Christmas,' 'Yank!') and Noah Racey ('Curtains') danced together. Scott Siegel, creator/writer and host of The Town Hall's acclaimed Broadway By The Year series, has written and will host the evening. The Lucille Lortel Awards announced today the details for the 25th Anniversary Lortel Awards Reception & Ceremony. The Awards Reception will be held on May 2, 2010 at 6 PM EST with the Ceremony beginning at 8 PM EST at Terminal 5, 610 West 56th Street, between 11th & 12th Avenues.
