The New York Musical Theatre Festival and MWG Productions, LLC are pleased to announce casting for WHAT DO CRITICS KNOW?, a new musical with music and lyrics by James Campodonico and Matthew Gurren a book by Matthew Gurren and direction by Michael Bello. 'Echoes of Etta', the multi award-winning Etta James musical tribute, is back home in New York City at Joe's Pub, with two performances, July 31st and August 1st, at 7 pm for their first LIVE IN-CONCERT recording.

Most Polite Productions presents Women & Children, a tale of snow globes, secrets, friendship and love. MOLLY POPE - brassy belter/whiskey guzzler/benevolent lunatic - will extend her acclaimed concert series through September, fresh off her acclaimed Off Broadway performances in Found at the Atlantic Theater Company and Horseplay, or the Fickle Mistress at La MaMa ETC / Theatre Askew. With the new show Molly Pope Likes Your Status, she sheds all pretense of humility and shamelessly entreats you to adore her for an hour while she prances about making loud noises. Unable to deny that she defines her self-worth entirely via social media notifications, the 'viscerally thrilling alto' (Time Out New York) exploits her fragile ego and vocal chops for your entertainment. In November 2014, singer/songwriter Rembert (Remy) Block staged three performances of her cabaret show tribute to Joni Mitchell-On a Lonely Road . . . Travelin' With Joni-at New York's iconic club, Don't Tell Mama. Joined again by her Musical Director Gregory Toroian on piano and her Director Raquel Cion, Remy Block is bringing back her highly praised show, this time to the Duplex Cabaret Theater tonight, June 10 at 7 pm. You've Hungered For This All Your Life which was slated to play The Duplex on July 5th announced today that it will add a performance on July 6th due to popular demand.

Mary Foster Conklin and Amy Engelhardt, two of New York City's most unique cabaret artists, return to the Duplex to make their own fun tonight, June 3 at 7 pm. Sprung from different parts of New Jersey's underbelly, these unique storytellers with serious potty mouths recently discovered each other's talents--and are now proud members of a mutual admiration society.

Following an acclaimed premiere at the Coronado Playhouse in San Diego, California, Anthony Logan Cole (Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde, Beauty and the Beast) and Steven Hunter Taylor (Les Miserables, South Pacific) will be bring their cabaret show You've Hungered For This All Your Life to The Duplex.

Sarah Jebian* presents her acclaimed cabaret act, Taking Flight: Songs of Hope, which combines her long-time love of music with her passion for social equality. Created and performed by Jebian, with piano accompaniment by David Libby, and directed by Robb Hillman and David McMullin, Taking Flight will be performed on Friday, June 26 at 7:30pm, Saturday, June 27th at 8pm, Wednesday, July 1 at 4:30pm, Monday, July 6th at 7pm and Tuesday, July 7th at 6pm in the Downstairs Theatre at The Paradise Factory, located at 64 East 4th Street as part of the 2015 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.

Patton's show is Directed by Award-winning cabaret performer Karen Oberlin with Musical Direction by MAC Award winner Barry Levitt. Recent MAC Award winner Tom Hubbard is on bass. Aaron Jackson (UCB) and Josh Sharp (Vulture's 'Comics You Should Know', IFC.com) celebrate a year of hosting a gay show for all people filled with songs and laughs from comics and queers and mostly people who are both. Always featuring handsome hunk Henry Koperski on the keys.

Since BroadwayWorld.com launched its New York Cabaret Awards in 2012, the process of voting on preliminary nominees and final nominees for recognition in approximately 20 categories has been open to anyone registering to vote on the highly-trafficked entertainment website. For it's 4th Annual Cabaret Awards nomination period—this year beginning after Thanksgiving 2015--BroadwayWorld will now put the nomination process into the hands of its cabaret show reviewing staff (Alix Cohen, David Clarke, John Hoglund, Andrew Martin, Billie Roe, and Remy Block) and select industry experts, led by BWW Cabaret Editor and Awards Show Producer Stephen Hanks (who has also hosted the show since its inception). Once the final nominees are announced, the general public will again be offered the chance to vote online for the best performers and shows of the past year.

 New York City native Lionel R. Shockness performs 'Both Sides Now!' - an  evening  of songs on Friday, June 5th and Sunday, June 7th -  at legendary piano bar / restaurant Don't Tell Mama (on Restaurant Row)  in Manhattan.  A regular on the city's cabaret scene - including appearances at Sweetwater's and The Duplex - Lionel's June 5th show is scheduled  for 7:00pm, the  June 7th  performance is set for 6:00pm. Directed by multi-MAC and Backstage Bistro award winner Helen Baldassare,  the performances will  feature accompanist  Gregory Toroian.
