Beavercreek Community Theatre Announces Their 2010-2011 Line Up

Beavercreek Community Theatre, with two shows remaining in the current season, is already gearing up for next season by announcing its show line up. The Dayton Power & Light Foundation, a supporter of BCT since 1997, will sponsor the 2010-2011 season.

Performance Network announces Fireside Festival of New Works, Plays 5/2-5

Performance Network Theatre presents staged readings of new plays from local playwrights at the Fireside Festival of New Works Sunday, May 2nd - Wednesday, May 5th at 8 pm. The Fireside Festival is an exciting, affordable way to see brand new plays produced by Performance Network, Michigan's premier professional theatre. Admission for all shows is pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation of $10. The festival is generously underwritten by Joseph Walters.

Children's Theatre of Charlotte Stages Classic Book GOODNIGHT MOON, 4/16-5/9

Children's Theatre of Charlotte presents 'Goodnight Moon', an adaptation of Margaret Wise Brown's beloved bedtime classic, in the McColl Family Theatre at ImaginOn from April 16-May 9. Chad Henry's charming musical tells the story of young Bunny, who, despite the fact that it is past his bedtime, wants to stay awake and enjoy all the wonders that his imagination has to offer.

Know Theatre Presents Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA Through 5/8

Know Theatre of Cincinnati is pleased to announce its fourth and fifth production of the season, Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, written by Tony Kushner. Angels in America opens with the first of the two part play, Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, on Know Theatre's mainstage through May 8, 2010. The second half of the production, Angels in America: Perestroika, will open April 23 and play through May 8, 2010.

'Taste of Season' Fundraiser Held at PNT Beginning April 15

Performance Network Theatre is pleased to announce the replacement of its annual Gala event with a new and unique fundraiser, 'Taste of the Season (Party for the Arty),' comprised of a variety of house parties and downtown events to benefit the theatre. Beginning April 15th and ending April 25th, numerous parties will take place at various locations, each with a different theatrical theme. Parties will be hosted by PNT supporters at their homes as well as in restaurants throughout Ann Arbor. Ticket prices will vary, based on the menu and style of each event.

PNT To Host Mosaic Youth Theatre 4/24

Performance Network Theatre presents 'Speak for Yourself! Young Detroiters Talk about Race' on Saturday, April 24 at 12pm. This all-ages show, in collaboration with the Michigan Youth and Community Program and the Children's Theatre Network, will be followed by a short post-show discussion with trained moderators from the University of Michigan.

Children's Theatre Company Presents ANNIE, 4/12-6/26

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) today announced the theatre will, for the first-time in its 45-year history, stage one of the theatre's most sought-after musicals, 'Annie.' Among the most requested titles by CTC patrons, 'Annie' will be directed by Peter Rothstein, who brought 'Disney's High School Musical' and 'A Year With Frog & Toad' to the Children's Theatre Company stage in the past.

TRTC Closes the Curtain on the World Premiere of ORESTES, A TRAGIC ROMP, 4/11

Following a highly successful run at the Folger Theatre in Washington D.C., Two River Theater Co. will close the curtain on the world premiere of Orestes A Tragic Romp, Anne Washburn's razor sharp modern adaptation of the Greek tragedy by Euripides, directed by Two River Artistic Director Aaron Posner on April 11th.

Performance Network Theatre announces its production of the musical, 'Little Shop of Horrors' with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken. 'Little Shop of Horrors' will begin April 1st and run through May 9th, 2010. This zany comedy stars Broadway veteran Naz Edwards ('Souvenir'), Jason Richards ('The Fantasticks'), Aaron Moore ('The Fantasticks'), BJ Love ('Christmas Carol'd') and Courtney Myers. It is directed by Performance Network Executive Director, Carla Milarch ('The Fantasticks,' 'The Baker's Wife'), with musical direction by R. MacKenzie Lewis.

'The Lost Boys of Sudan:' a Lyrical, Insightful Journey at Victory Gardens Theater

Now through April 25, 2010, on the mainstage of the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, is the premiere of "The Lost Boys of Sudan," the play by VG ensemble playwright Lonnie Carter that has "changed enormously" since its 2007 world premiere at the Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis.....

Pirates, buried treasure and swordfights abound in Children's Theatre of Charlotte's 'Treasure Island,' coming to the McColl Family Theatre thru Mach 28. Ken Ludwig's stage adaptation captures the swashbuckling danger and excitement of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic adventure story.
