Know Theatre Presents Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA, 4/3-5/8

Know Theatre of Cincinnati is pleased to announce its fourth and fifth production of the season, Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, written by Tony Kushner. Angels in America will open with the first of the two part play, Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, on Know Theatre's mainstage April 3 and play through May 8, 2010. The second half of the production, Angels in America: Perestroika, will open April 23 and play through May 8, 2010.

The Fountain Theatre Presents OPUS 6/19- 7/25

Sex, drugs and chamber music! The Fountain Theatre continues its 20th Anniversary Season with the Los Angeles premiere of Opus by Michael Hollinger. This multiple award-winning, behind-the-scenes look at a 'high strung' string quartet stars Daniel Blinkoff, Jia Doughman, Gregory G. Giles, Christian Lebano and Cooper Thornton.

2ST's THE ELABORATE ENTRANCE OF CHAD DEITY Opens 5/20

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) presents the New York premiere of THE ELABORATE ENTRANCE OF CHAD DEITY, a new play written by Kristoffer Diaz and directed by Edward Torres. The show stars Usman Ally, Terence Archie, Desmin Borges, CHRISTIAN LITKE, and Michael T. Weiss (NBC's 'The Pretender'). Preview performances began on Tuesday, April 27 with opening night set for Thursday, May 20 at 6:30pm. Performance Network Theatre Presents THE SEAFARER 6/26-7/10

Performance Network Theatre announces its production of the hit drama, 'The Seafarer' by Conor McPherson. 'The Seafarer' will begin June 10th and run through July 18th, 2010. This Broadway smash stars Hugh Maguire, Richard McWilliams ('The Retreat from Moscow'), Joel Mitchell ('Elizabeth Rex'), Keith Kalinowksi and Aaron Alpern. It is directed by Malcolm Tulip ('Amadeus').

People's Light Presents THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES 6/16-7/11

People's Light & Theatre Company presents THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES, from June 16 - July 11, 2010, on the Main Stage. A world premiere production, with a script by Richard Hellesen, it is based on the children's classic tale by Hans Christian Andersen.

Performance Network Announces Tony Party And Casino Night 6/13

The question many Performance Network supporters are asking these days is 'do I feel lucky?' As the American Theatre Wing gears up for its 64th Annual Tony Awards ceremony at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Ann Arbor's professional theatre announces its Tony viewing party, 'Bettin' on Broadway' which will take place on Sunday, June 13th, at 7pm at Performance Network Theater. The Tony Awards ceremony is a Black-Tie only event but Performance Network's party invites its guests to dress 'from slots to high roller' as they view the Tony awards while playing blackjack, poker and roulette in the Network's lobby and theatre spaces.

The Ogunquit Playhouse presents its 2010 Children's Theatre Season, Kicks Off 7/3

Arena Stage Features Albee, RUINED et al. in 2010 - 2011

Arena Stage Artistic Director Molly Smith announces the D.C.-based pioneering theater company's 60th season filled with award-winning artists and projects to celebrate the grand opening of Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. The 2010/11 inaugural season includes eight full productions, seven presentations from the National Endowment for the Arts New Play Development Program and public readings from all 30 of Edward Albee's works, totaling at least 45 projects produced and presented by Arena Stage in the inaugural year at the Mead Center. With the opening next fall, Arena Stage will fully become a national center for production, presentation, development and study of American theater.

Performance Network Theatre announces its production of the musical, 'Little Shop of Horrors' with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken. 'Little Shop of Horrors' will begin April 1st and run through May 9th, 2010. This zany comedy stars Broadway veteran Naz Edwards ('Souvenir'), Jason Richards ('The Fantasticks'), Aaron Moore ('The Fantasticks'), BJ Love ('Christmas Carol'd') and Courtney Myers. It is directed by Performance Network Executive Director, Carla Milarch ('The Fantasticks,' 'The Baker's Wife'), with musical direction by R. MacKenzie Lewis.

Children's Theatre of Charlotte Stages Classic Book GOODNIGHT MOON, 4/16-5/9

Children's Theatre of Charlotte presents 'Goodnight Moon', an adaptation of Margaret Wise Brown's beloved bedtime classic, in the McColl Family Theatre at ImaginOn from April 16-May 9. Chad Henry's charming musical tells the story of young Bunny, who, despite the fact that it is past his bedtime, wants to stay awake and enjoy all the wonders that his imagination has to offer.
