Kate DiCamillo Makes Appearance at Children's Theatre Company 6/2

Best-selling local author and Newbery Medalist, Kate DiCamillo, will join Artistic Director Peter Brosius at a special gathering of CTC guests for an evening of conversation, autographs and ice cream.

DiCamillo is best recognized for her award-winning children's books, including:

"Because of Winn-Dixie" (Newbery Honor book & 2005 film)
"The Tiger Rising" (National Book Award finalist)
"The Tale of Despereaux" (2003 Newbery Medal winner)
"The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane" (winner of the Boston Globe Horn Book Award)
"Mercy Watson" series of children's chapter books

WHAT: An annual fundraising event for Children's Theatre Company, this event is an opportunity for guests to interact with local and national celebrities/supporters of Children's Theatre Company, in an informal setting. After an on-stage conversation with Artistic Director Peter Brosius, DiCamillo has generously offered to autograph books on behalf of CTC guests.
Copies of DiCamillo's books will be available for purchase on the evening of the event, with proceeds benefiting Children's Theatre Company.
