Len Cariou, Richard Kind & More to Lead Frog and Peach Theatre's TWELFTH NIGHT Reading, 9/17

Frog and Peach Theatre Company will present a star-studded reading of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' on Tuesday, September 17 at The Player's Club, 16 Gramercy Park South, with a cast including Len Cariou, Richard Kind, Susie Essman, Darrell Hammond, Alan Zweibel,Scott Adsit, Maulik Pancholy and Alan Zweibel. An original score by Ian McDonald (King Crimson, Foreigner) will be performed live by Mr. McDonald.

Anne Pasquale's BOB Plays Abingdon Theatre, Beg. Tonight

BOB: Blessed Be The Dysfunction That Binds, a new American play based on the true story of one Rhode Island family's experience with mental illness and the United States healthcare system, will receive its New York premiere at The Abingdon Theatre. Performances begin September 5, 2013.

Tom Cavanaugh's ADAM & YOSHI Set for New American Playwrights Project at Utah Shakespeare Festival, Now thru 8/30

The New American Playwrights Project at the Tony Award-winning, Utah Shakespeare Festival has selected L.A. playwright Tom Cavanaugh for the second time to participate in the company's premiere development theater workshop. He will develop his new play ADAM & YOSHI. Cavanaugh is the first out-of-state playwright to attend the program for a second time. In 2010, the Project developed his play BEHOLD, which explores what happens to a family when it loses a child in a school shooting caused by bullying. BEHOLD is now being considered for an Off-Broadway production in New York City and a TV movie with major cable networks in Los Angeles.

GAY CAMP Returns to NYC Stage Tonight at the Duplex

It's gay; it's camp; it's Gay Camp! Following its sold-out run as part of the 2012 New York International Fringe Festival and subsequent Fringe Encore Series, the show's creators are returning with an even more laugh-packed run of the hit play Gay Camp, opening at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre tonight, August 17, 2013 at 6:30pm.

Thrillpeddlers announces their annual Halloween Extravaganza Shocktoberfest 14: Jack the Ripper - An Evening of Horror, Madness, Spanking and Song Commemorating the 125th Anniversary of the Jack The Ripper Murders in London. Thrillpeddlers presents its 4th and final preview performance of Shocktoberfest 14 on Sept. 30, the very date that police received the letter that coined the name 'Jack the Ripper' and the case's double-murder occurred.

The Colony Theatre Presents BREATH AND IMAGINATION: THE STORY OF ROLAND HAYES, 9/14-10/13

The Colony Theatre is thrilled to present the West Coast Premiere of BREATH AND IMAGINATION: The Story of Roland Hayes, a true story by Daniel Beaty, directed by Saundra McClain, with Musical Direction by Rahn Coleman. BREATH AND IMAGINATION will preview on Wednesday, September 11; Thursday, September 12; and Friday, September 13 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, September 14 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, October 13.

This AEA Approved Showcase Production will be directed by JOE MARUZZO.
