A Red Orchid Theatre continues its 2010-2011 Season with The New Electric Ballroom, written by Enda Walsh and directed by Robin Witt. The production will run January 20 - March 6, 2011 at A Red Orchid Theatre, 1531 N. Wells.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents DRUID and Atlantic Theater Company's production of The Cripple of Inishmaan running February 8 to 12 in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater.

The Guthrie Theater today announced that Artistic Director Joe Dowling will direct legendary stage actor Brian Dennehy in John B. Keane's The Field in a limited run at Dublin's Olympia Theatre beginning January 13. Dennehy plays the iconic role of ‘The Bull' McCabe in Keane's award-winning play. The Field returns to the Olympia Theatre where it premiered more than 45 years ago and will run from January 13 through to February 12, then transfer to the INEC, Killarney, from February 15 through 17, followed by a transfer to the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, from February 24 through 26.

Seanachaí Theatre Company presents the Midwest premiere of That Was Then by Gerard Stembridge, February 26th - April 3rd, 2011 in the 3rd Floor theatre at the Irish American Heritage Center. Ensemble member Carolyn Klein directs fellow members Anne Sunseri and Sarah Wellington, with Ira Amyx, Molly Glynn and Joseph Wycoff rounding out the cast. Ensemble member Erin Diener is stage manager.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces today the addition of two World's Stage productions to its 2010/11 Season: the award-winning, CST-commissioned Funk It Up About Nothin' embarks on a tour of Australia, preceded by a limited return engagement Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare in January 2011; and the National Theatre of Scotland's internationally-acclaimed production Black Watch is added to the CST World Stage Series, presented at Chicago's Broadway Armory from March 29 to April 10, 2011.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) brings two of the world's finest theater companies to Chicago audiences this spring with back-to-back productions for the World's Stage Series.

Richard Eyre will direct John Mortimer's translation of Georges Feydeau's 1907 classic farce A FLEA IN HER EAR , opening for previews on 4 December 2010 (press night: 14 December). Starring Tom Hollander with Di Botcher, Jonathan Cake, Oliver Cotton, Lisa Dillon, Freddie Fox, Fiona Glascott, Lloyd Hutchinson, John Marquez, Tim McMullan, William Maxwell, Rebecca Night, Maggie Service and Walter Van Dyk, A Flea in Her Ear is a comedy of errors set against a backdrop of misunderstanding and confusion. A Flea in Her Ear is a co-production with Sonia Friedman Productions and is the second play in The Old Vic 2010-11 Season. The Season is sponsored by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
