The Nash announces its calendar of shows for August including Jazz Messengers Alum, Bobby Watson, who arrives in Phoenix to perform with Lewis Nash on August 13th.

Showcasing world-class jazz and classical music, IN/TERSECT is a rare opportunity to experience some of the most sophisticated music being created today. The two-day music festival is produced with Chamber Music America and curated by Patrick Zimmerli.

The Nash announces its 'Catch A Rising Star' Summer Concert Series featuring performances by young Arizona jazz artists.  The musicians range from high school to recent college graduates between ages of 18 - 24, who either are based or were raised in Arizona.    Curated by The Nash, this series provides a platform for these emerging artists to gain prominence in the jazz community.

The 7th Annual Season of Blast Friday comes to a close with free, live Home Cookin' music from local favorites The Greg Billings Band and The Black Honkeys on Friday, May 26 from 5:30 to 10 pm on the Tampa Bay Times Stage, which will be located on Osceola in downtown Clearwater facing the Capitol Theatre. Food trucks and vendors will be serving a wide variety of freshly prepared specialty food and beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages that will be available for purchase. Friends, current and former students, and many of the incredible musicians she has collaborated with over the years will gather on Monday, May 15th 2017 from 7 to 10pm at the extraordinary Minnie Petrie Synagogue at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.

Jazz musicians, students and enthusiasts are invited to hang out at The Nash this summer, jam with other students, learn new techniques, or try out different styles of jazz. From bop to brass, guitar to vocals, the popular jazz club will be buzzing as musicians work with instructors in a wide range of classes and workshops.  The first session begins May 22, with a variety of workshops held throughout the summer.

Flashback to 1966 Las Vegas & join powerhouse vocalist Chris Pinnella along with a 12-Piece Big Band as they perform the iconic live album 'Sinatra at the Sands' from beginning to end. Featuring the Quincy Jones & Count Basie arrangements and led by jazz bassist Gary Mazzaroppi (Stan Getz, Buddy Rich, Les Paul Trio).

After paying tribute to artistic inspirations during Fall 2016's DEMO, Damian Woetzel continues to unite artists from across fields around a common theme in performance on April 3, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. in the Eisenhower Theater. This installment of the multi-genre series brings together acclaimed artists for a special one-night performance to celebrate the combination of song and dance.

Jazz Women of New York is a new all-woman band conceived by vocalist Lee Torchia.  The core group is pianist Jill McManus, bassist Melissa Slocum, drummer Sylvia Cuenca, flutist Andrea Brachfeld, and saxophonist Carol Sudhalter, with occasional subs from the female side of NY jazz.

John Pizzarelli returns to Cafe Carlyle with an all-new show celebrating iconic singer-songwriter Johnny Mercer, April 25 - May 6. The New York Times recently described John Pizzarelli and his wife Jessica Molaskey as "the supreme nightclub act of our time." Specifically, Jazz Weekly recently raved about John Pizzarelli's Johnny Mercer program: "A gig like this oozes with style, class and fun, with Pizzarelli being one of the best ambassadors for the Great American Songbook. One of his best."At the Cafe, he'll perform Johnny's most recognizable hits as well as lesser-known gems such as "Jamboree Jones" and "Slue Foot."

In honor of Jazz Appreciation Month and to mark the centennial of Ella Fitzgerald's birth, the Philly POPS will celebrate the First Lady of Song's musical legacy with her frequent collaborator Louis Armstrong in a swinging lineup of their biggest solo hits and duets. Master jazz trumpeter Byron Stripling and R&B sensation Marva Hicks join the POPS for Ella, Louis & All That Jazz March 31-April 2, 2017 at the Kimmel Center.

March brings a new collection of outstanding artists in jazz for its Special Engagement Series.  In addition to its weekly shows featuring emerging and veteran jazz artists every Friday and Saturday nights, Jam sessions on Sunday evenings and packed First Fridays, the top names in jazz are arriving to perform at the noted jazz club in downtown Phoenix.  

THE BLACK BOX, downtown Franklin's theater, music, and event venue, presents a Big Band Brunch with the renowned Kenny Hadley Big Band on Sunday, March 5. The critically acclaimed 16-piece ensemble, led by drummer Kenny Hadley, boasts masterful musicians with performance ties to Big Band legends Woody Herman, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich and more. The band has shared the stage with such notables as the Count Basie Orchestra and the Duke Ellington Orchestra and has hosted guest soloists including Clark Terry and Louie Bellson.

Pianist, composer, and bandleader, Randy Weston comes to The Nash to join Lewis Nash for an unforgettable afternoon of jazz on Sunday February 19 at 2:00 pm. The Nash is located at 110 Roosevelt St, on the corner of 1st and Roosevelt in downtown Phoenix.  

Music lovers in the Valley will have the opportunity to experience the charisma and artistry of three significant artists as the live jazz club hosts Emmet Cohen Trio on Feb 8th, the extraordinary saxophonist Cory Weeds with legendary pianist Harold Mabern on February 11th and the ever-charismatic Francine Reed on Feb 12th.  All performances are expected to sell out.
