The 2012 Savannah Film Festival added Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor John Goodman ('The Artist'), former president and chairman of Marvel Comics Stan Lee ('Spider-Man'), Pulitzer Prize winning screenwriter David Lindsay-Abaire ('Rabbit Hole') and John Gatins ('Real Steel') to its list of honorees.

As part of the League of Professional Theatre Women's 30th Anniversary 30 Plays Celebrate 30 Years project, an evening dedicated to poetry written and performed by poets P.J. Gibson, Carol Hall, Anne Hamilton, Harriet Slaughter, Mira Spektor and Gayl Teller will be presented at the Cherry Lane Theatre on Monday, October 29th at 7:30. Cara Reichel will direct. Melody Berger will provide incidental music.

Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning actor John Goodman (Flight) will receive an Outstanding Achievement in Cinema Award and comic book legend, former President and Chairman of Marvel Comics Stan Lee (The Avengers) will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 15th Annual Savannah Film Festival, which will take place from October 27th to November 3th.

Produced in partnership with South Mountain Storytelling Telling Institute, the Mesa Arts Center hosts a special EVENING OF STORYTELLING; featuring a youth teller, an Arizona teller and national treasure, Donald Davis. The William & Eva Fox Foundation and Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, are pleased to announce the seventh round of Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowship recipients. The program is designed to support actors' professional and artistic development, to enrich relationships between actors and nonprofit theatres and to ensure continued professional commitment to live theatre. Funded by the Fox Foundation and administered by TCG, the fellowship is one of only a few programs of its kind for actors in the country.

The producers of FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 smash hit movie that defined a generation, have just announced that the production will arrive on Broadway in August 2013 with a theater, dates and casting to be announced.
