Equinox Theatre Company is thrilled to present the regional premiere of ATOMIC: The New Rock Musical. Performances will be November 9 through December 1 with shows Today and Saturday nights at 7:30 PM. There will also be a pay-what-you-can industry night on Thursday, November 29. The critically acclaimed theatre company, Mason Holdings, will premiere their new site-specific production of Consumption, at the Beverly Social Club in Kensington Brooklyn. The limited engagement runs November 9 - December 8.

Kathleen Turner, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Kyle Bornheimer have been cast in the episode of  'Dolly Parton's Heartstrings' titled 'These Old Bones,' according to Variety.  

Tony Award-winner Jefferson Mays (and his many characters) will grace the Gil Cates Theatre stage of the Geffen Playhouse for his one-man adaptation of Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, already in previews, with opening night set for November 7, 2018. I had the chance to pick Jefferson's witty mind for some very fun answers to my semi-serious inquiries.

Good Theater kicks off its second stage series with Blueberries Broadway & Brian 2.0.  This is Artistic Director Brian P. Allen's one-man comedy show about his wacky life and crazy family.  The 75-minute production opens Saturday November 10 at 12:30 for an early afternoon matinee.  Performances are Saturdays 12:30, Sundays 5:00 and Tuesdays at 7:00 from November 10-December 1.  Thanksgiving week, Allen will give performances on Wednesday November 21 and Thursday (Thanksgiving) November 22.  Both of these shows will be at 7:00.  Tickets for all performances are $20 each and can be reserved by going to the Good Theater website, www.goodtheater.com, or calling the box office at 207-835-0895.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) will honor Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning actress Victoria Clark, NYMF Board Member Jill Jaysen and Tony Award-winning producers Frankel, Viertel, Baruch, Routh Group at its 2018 Gala on Sunday, November 11 at the Edison Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan (240 W 47th St, New York, NY 10036).

Two rock bands featuring stage stars - John Gallagher Jr. (Tony Award winner for Spring Awakening, American Idiot, also HBO's Newsroom and 10 Cloverfield Lane) and Lauren Worsham (Tony nominee, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) - will join forces at NYC's Mercury Lounge on 12/1.

Anna Kendrick has signed on for the sci-fi thriller STOWAWAY, the second film from the duo behind the Cannes Official Selection Arctic. As with Arctic, the film will be directed by Joe Penna and co-written by Penna & Ryan Morrisson. Morrison will also serve as executive producer. XYZ Films will produce alongside Rise Pictures and augenschein Filmproduktion, with XYZ and CAA Media Finance handling financing and sales at the upcoming American Film Market.

The Coral Springs Center for the Arts today announced that comedian, TV and movie star, author and musician Paul Reiser is scheduled to perform on Saturday, February 2, at 8 pm. The state-of the-art performing arts center is located at 2855 Coral Springs Drive (33065).

Cult-hit rock band Sky-Pony announces its 2018 Halloween Show as a benefit for Housing Works - Today October 26*

Spin Doctors guitarist/songwriter ERIC SCHENKMAN will now be releasing his self-produced third solo album, WHO SHOT JOHN?, January 11, 2019 via VizzTone Records. Originally set for release October 26, SCHENKMAN has recently joined forces with VizzTone Records, which prompted the change.

The Price of Silence stars the EMMY winning actor Richard Thomas, the award winning actress Lynn Mancinelli, Vanity star Emrhys Cooper, and Kristen Carey from Hall Pass. Sexual assault, opioid addiction, alcoholism, and family dysfunction are central elements of The Price ofSilence and hold great relevance for today's social climate. This topical film was directed by Tony Germinario (Bad Frank) and has been acquired by Circus Road Films. Having just begun its festival run, this outstanding film has already won 9 awards, including multiple awards for Best Actor, directing and for Best Film.

The world premiere of Martin McDonagh's A Very Very Very Dark Matter at the Bridge Theatre is directed by Matthew Dunster. The cast comprises Johnetta Eula'Mae Ackles, Alistair Benson, Elizabeth Berrington, Paul Bradley, Noah Brignull, Jim Broadbent, Phil Daniels, Regan Garcia, Leo Hart, Graeme Hawley, Audrey Hayhurst, Kundai Kanyama, Lee Knight, Jamie McKie, Ryan Pope, James Roberts, Alice Selwyn, Austin Taylor, Amelia Walter and Annabelle Westenholz-Smith including nine children who will alternate a variety of roles. The 12-week run will conclude on 6 January 2019. The London Theatre Companyproduction is designed by Anna Fleischle with lighting by Philip Gladwell, music compositions by James Maloney, sound by George Dennis, special effects by Paul Wanklin and video effects by Finn Ross.

A delightful, dazzling escape filled with corseted girls in golden tap shoes, The Bard on air guitar, and a big ol' wink to the audience before launching knowingly into any musical encore. San Francisco Opera presents Richard Strauss' Arabella in five performances at the War Memorial Opera House from October 16 through November 3. Last performed by the Company 20 years ago, Arabella returns in Tim Albery's acclaimed production with leading Strauss interpreter Marc Albrecht, making his United States opera debut on the podium. The cast features soprano Ellie Dehn performing the title role for the first time, baritone Brian Mulligan in his role debut as Mandryka, soprano Heidi Stober as Zdenka, tenor Daniel Johansson in his first San Francisco Opera engagement as Matteo and Hye Jung Lee as the Fiakermilli. Company Chorus Director Ian Robertson prepares the San Francisco Opera Chorus.
