POLKADOTS: THE COOL KIDS MUSICAL debuted its developmental production at the Ivortyon Playhouse, on Monday, April 11th, 2016. Conceived by (composer) Douglas Lyons, POLKADOTS was inspired by the 1957 events of the 'Little Rock Nine' in Arkansas and serves as a colorful musical history lesson for children, reminding them that our individual differences make us awesome, not outcasts. POLKADOTS: THE COOL KIDS MUSICAL will receive its premiere developmental production at the Ivortyon Playhouse, April 11th-16th, 2016. Conceived by (composer) Douglas Lyons, POLKADOTS was inspired by the 1957 events of the 'Little Rock Nine' in Arkansas and serves as a colorful musical history lesson for children, reminding them that our individual differences make us awesome, not outcasts.POLKADOTS has lyrics by Mr. Lyons, who co-wrote the score with Greg Borowsky (Sony ATV). Melvin Tunstall III (BLooM!) helmed the book. The show's original illustrations are by Salina Giardino.

Procida Creative International (PCI) announces the World premiere of its new Off-Broadway musical, REDDI HIGH.

Michele Ragusa (Young Frankenstein, Titanic) has been cast to star in the reading of McGurk's Suicide Hall, a fictional account of actual events as "Big Mame" the lead attraction at the hall on October 19 at 9pm at TADA! Theatre in Manhattan. Alongside Michele will be Amanda Rose (Wicked, Oklahoma) playing "Emma" a new American arrival, and Brian Childers (Helen Hayes Award winner - Danny and Silvia) as "McGurk", the owner of the hall.

'Your Name on My Lips,' a musical written and composed by Eric Sirota and directed by Katharine Pettit, explores the way love can inspire and sustain us.

Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Artistic Director) presents the world premiere of the musical Your Name on My Lips, as part the Dream Up Festival, with 10 performances from August 30 to September 18.   With book, music & lyrics by composer/writer/physicist Eric Sirota, it is directed by Katharine Pettit (Susan Stroman's SDC Observer on Bullets Over Broadway).  The show explores the way love can inspire and sustain us. With a classically influenced driving contemporary score, "Your Name on My Lips" will transport the audience back to when love was earnest, feelings deep, and romance unabashedly unapologetic.

After receiving popular & critical acclaim this fall, Fabulous! the high seas musical romp was Off-Broadway's Valentine production on Saturday February 14th and play through Sunday, May 17th at the Write Act Repertory Theatre (Times Square Arts Center, 300 West 43rd Street). Produced by Roy Nevans, John Lant and FABCO Productions in association with Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica, Fabulous! features a book and lyrics by Dan Derby, music by Michael Rheault, original direction by Rick Hamilton, original choreography by Mary Lauren along with musical direction by Ted Arthur. The York Theatre Company, and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series, will present two new works: Angel in My Heart that has book, music & lyrics by Bob Ost, with additional music by Kenn Schmidt, and What Do Critics Know? with book by Matt Gurren and music & lyrics by James Campodonico and Mr. Gurren at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). The readings are open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.00.

On November 17th, patrons have one chance to see a New York Theatre Barn (The Barn) exclusive Pre-­Premiere* of the new musicals, ROBOTICUS and SOMETHING BLUE at the Daryl Roth Theatre's D-Lounge. The Barn is the only 501(c)(3) non-profit theatre company whose sole mission is 'to give theatre a chance.' For the first time in the series' seven-year history, both presentations will include wireless captions for the deaf/HOH audience members, which can be accessed on personal cellular devices.
