About Face Theatre Announces Their 15th Anniversary Season

Celebrating the 15th anniversary of About Face Theatre, Artistic Director Bonnie Metzgar and new Executive Director Jason Held are pleased to announce their 2010-2011 season, which includes the second annual XYZ Festival of New Works, FLOAT by Patricia Kane, PONY by Sally Oswald and THE HOMOSEXUALS by Phillip Dawkins.

Piven Theatre Workshop Closes Its Season With LATE: A COWBOY SONG, 7/24-8/29

Piven Theatre Workshop closes its 2009-10 season with the Chicago premiere of Late: A Cowboy Song, written by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Jessica Thebus and featuring Polly Noonan. The production will run July 24 - August 29, 2010 at Piven Theatre Workshop, 927 Noyes Street. Press opening is Monday, July 26, 2010 at 7:30PM.

About Face Theatre Announces QUEERTOPIA, Runs 7/15-25

Artistic Director Bonnie Metzgar and Executive Director Jason Held are pleased to announce the world premiere of QUEERTOPIA: The Anti-Violence Project, by Paula Gilovich and the About Face Youth Theatre Ensemble, directed by Sara Kerastas. McCarter Theatre has announced the complete casting and creative team for the American premiere of Take Flight, a new musical by Richard Maltby Jr, David Shire and John Weidman that blends fact and fiction to tell the interweaving stories of three pioneers of aeronautics: the Wright Brothers, Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo, L.A. Theatre Works (LATW) Producing Director Susan Loewenberg, Affinity Collaborative Theater founding members John Dias, Sheila Schwartz, and Diane Morrison have announced that a special panel discussion series held in conjunction with the production of Top Secret: The Battle for the Pentagon Papers, will feature a panel with Daniel Ellsberg, the former Defense and State Department official who gave the Pentagon Papers to the Washington Post, on Tuesday, March 16 at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery.

Chicago -Artistic Director Bonnie Metzgar has announced the Midwestern premiere of Ann Marie Healy's new play WHAT ONCE WE FELT directed by Krissy Vanderwarker.
