Idina Menzel's performance of the Oscar-nominated "Let It Go" on the Academy Awards telecast isn't the only way to catch the Tony winner on TV that day - WLIW21 New York Public Television will air an encore presentation of IDINA MENZEL LIVE - BAREFOOT AT THE SYMPHONY, Sunday 3/2 at 3 pm. Then on Wednesday, March 5 at 7 pm, the special will air again as Idina's new Broadway musical, "If/Then," opens in previews.

Happy Birthday, Taye Diggs! In 1996, Diggs originated the role of the landlord Benny in Jonathan Larson's Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning Rent. After Rent he appeared as Mr. Black in Andrew Lippa's off-Broadway production of The Wild Party. Diggs also played The Bandleader in the 2002 film version of the long-running Broadway revival of Chicago and filled in as Billy Flynn on Broadway.

Led by Artistic Director Robert Battle, Ailey's 2013-14 Season at New York City Center kicked off December 4th with an Opening Night Gala Benefit hosted by Honorary Co-Chair Gabrielle Union. The event's co-chairs were Simin Allison & in memory, Herb Allison, Kathryn & Kenneth Chenault, Daria L. Foster & Erich J. Wallach, Agnes & Gerald Hassell, Debra L. Lee, and Joan & Sandy Weill. The evening helped raise over $2.4 million for the creation of new works and Alvin Ailey's extensive educational programs for young people, including AileyCamp and scholarships to The Ailey School. Last night, (Sunday, Nov. 17), renowned actor Taye Diggs was spotted partying the night away at Hakkasan Nightclub at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. "The Best Man Holiday" star made his way to the nightlife mecca just after midnight with a group of his New York friends and was said to be celebrating a close friends birthday.

The men of The Best Man Holiday stopped in last night on The Arsenio Hall Show. Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Morris Chestnut, and Harold Perrineau, joined Arsenio Hall and chatted about reuniting to film the romantic-dramedy sequel and working as black actors in Hollywood.
American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala Raises $1.65 Million

American Ballet Theatre (ABT) held its annual Opening Night Fall Gala benefit last night at the David H. Koch Theatre, hosting over 700 patrons, sponsors, supporters, friends, alumni and members of the Board of Trustees. ABT's inaugural season at the David H. Koch Theatre marks the Company's first return to the venue since 1976. The gala, which serves as the opening of ABT's fall season at the Koch Theatre, raised $1.65 million dollars and a portion of the proceeds will support ABT's education and community outreach programs.
