F. OFF to Debut at Edinburgh Fringe

F. Off comes to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer, inviting the audience to become judge and jury in a new production that sees the Facebook generation put the social network on trial, presented by the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain (NYT).

Underbelly Announces August Lineup

Today Underbelly announces the final 91 shows joining its Fringe programme this August. With a huge range of star names, challenging and intriguing topics and a host of great music this is set to be one of the most entertaining year's yet beneath George Square's udders and across Bristo Square, the Cowgate, Circus Hub and Central Hall.

Full Cast Announced For Shakespeare In The Squares' A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM

Shakespeare in the Squares today announces the full cast for A Midsummer Night's Dream, the company's fourth production touring London's glorious private squares and gardens. Tatty Hennessy directs Gemma Barnett (Hermia/Snug/Fairy), Paul Giddings (Theseus/Oberon/Quince), Jodie Jacobs (Bottom/Egeus), Sioned Jones (Hippolyta/Titania), David Leopold (Lysander/Starveling), Riad Ritchie (Demetrius/Snout), Hannah Sinclair Robinson (Helena/Flute) and James Tobin (Puck/Philostrate). The production runs from 19 June to 11 July, with press night at Arundel and Ladbroke Gardens on 25 June.

National Youth Theatre Announces Summer/Autumn 2019 Season

The National Youth Theatre today announces its 2019 Summer and Autumn Season which will feature an extended 7th annual REP season of three plays in London, brand new commissions staged in five cities across the UK and festival appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe, Latitude and Bradford Literature Festival. This is the first time the majority of NYT's summer / autumn season productions will be staged outside of London. Three NYT members have also been appointed as paid Centre Stage Creatives and have also been commissioned to build local NYT networks and create new work in towns around the UK.

Shakespeare In The Squares Will Tour A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM To London Squares & Parks

Shakespeare in the Squares today announces its annual production - this year, A Midsummer Night's Dream - which will play across London, opening up the city's glorious private squares and gardens. Directed by Tatty Hennessy, the production runs from 19 June to 11 July, with press night at Arundel and Ladbroke Gardens on 25 June.

A Hundred Words for Snow is a journey of epic proportions in every sense - through grief, adolescence and across the Arctic - as it follows Rory on her mission to get the ashes of her Arctic enthusiast dad to the North Pole, whilst discovering the full extent of the planet's destruction and a lot about herself along the way.

The squares themselves are the biggest challenge and delight of these productions. They're absolutely beautiful, totally individual and not designed for performances at all. We keep light on our feet with a stripped-back set, minimal lighting and no recorded sound or amplification. We have to be the most interesting thing in the square, so a clear, bright design concept that we can convey immediately through costume and characterisation works wonders.

Shakespeare in the Squares today announces its 2018 production of As You Like It, directed by Tatty Hennessy, which tours to London's squares and parks from 20 June to 13 July, with a press night at Arundel and Ladbroke Gardens on 26 June. Opening up London's glorious private squares and gardens to magical performances for Londoners and family audiences, Shakespeare in the Squares' third production follows the company's successful productions of Much Ado About Nothing in summer 2016 and Romeo and Juliet in summer 2017, which were performed to sell-out audiences. The tour of As You Like It will visit twice as many locations as the inaugural Shakespeare in the Squares tour in 2016.
