Dallas Theater Center announced today complete details for the world premiere of MOONSHINE: That Hee Haw Musical, a new musical comedy with music and lyrics by award-winning songwriters Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally and a book by Robert Horn. MOONSHINE: That Hee Haw Musical begins previews on Wednesday, September 2 and runs through October 11, with press opening on Friday, September 18. Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, presents DEAR EVAN HANSEN. The original musical, featuring a score by Tony Award nominees Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (Broadway's A Christmas Story, The Musical; Dogfight), a book by Steven Levenson (Masters of Sex) and directed by three-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif (Broadway's Rent, Next to Normal, If/Then), is a contemporary, intimate story of hope, heartache and the things in life we all need-friends, family and a place to call home. With choreography by Danny Mefford and music supervision, orchestrations and dance arrangements by Tony Award winner Alex Lacamoire, Dear Evan Hansen runs now through August 23, 2015, opening tonight, July 30, in the Kreeger Theater.

As BroadwayWorld reported last month, the World Premiere of Prince of Broadway, a new musical celebrating the extraordinary six decade Broadway career of producer-director Harold Prince, will play from October 23-November 22, 2015 at Tokyu Theatre Orb in Tokyo, Japan and November 28-December 10, 2015 at Umeda Arts Theater, Main Hall, in Osaka, Japan. Now according to the show's official website, 2015 Tony nominee Tony Yazbeck (On the Town, Gypsy Chicago, A Chourus Line) has joined the company.

SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (SNF), the smash musical that drew inspiration from the '70s film of the same name, has been taking on a life of its own since bowing out from Broadway 15 years ago: spawning at least four UK Tour productions, seven International Tour productions, a cruise production, and a West End Revival production-proving the adage that 'indeed, there's life beyond the shadows of the Great White Way.'

Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera gets its NY premiere as it kicks-off the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) this July. Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera has a concept, book and lyrics by Elizabeth Searle, music by Michael Teoli, and will be directed by David Alpert (If/ Then), with musical direction by Henry Aronson (Rock of Ages), and choreography by Marc Kimelman (A Bronx Tale). Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera will play at the PTC Performing Space (555 West 42nd St.) from tonight, July 9, through July 16, 2015.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) presents Spot on the Wall a new musical with book and lyrics by Kevin Jaeger, music by Alex Mitchell. Devin Dunne Cannon directs a cast of six, including Robert Hager*, Lisa Kuhnen*, Neal Mayer*, Joseph Simeone*, Madison Stratton* and Charles West*. Spot on the Wall is being staged at Theater 3, 311 West 43rd Street, 3rd Floor (bet. 8th & 9th Avenues) in NYC for five performances from tonight, July 7 through Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

Later tonight dozens of kids from across the country will gather to compete for the ultimate prize- Best Performance by an Actor and Actress at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as the Jimmy Awards. Gigi, the new Broadway production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning musical comedy, will play its final performance today, Sunday, June 21 at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street). The production, which began previews on Thursday, March 19 and opened officially on Wednesday, April 8, will have played 20 previews and 86 performances.
