Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Announces 85th Anniversary Season

The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera announces the 2017/18 season - the 85th Season for the organization. Music programmed showcases the old and the new - from music that was written hundreds of years ago to music written more recently.

The ARK Trio to Present Six World Premieres in New York City Concert Debut LOVE RESOUNDING

The ARK Trio, whose members include noted musicians soprano Allison Charney, cellist Kajsa William-Olsson and pianist Reiko Uchida, will make their New York City debut on February 14th 7PM at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Peter Norton Symphony Space.  The ARK trio's concert 'Love Resounding' will present six world premieres of compositions written for them by American composers Kim D. Sherman (THE WEDDING SONG, THE LAODAMIAD: A MYTHIC JOURNEY, PRAIRIE DIARY) and Michael Ching (ARRANGEMENTS AND DERANGEMENTS: INTERPRETATIONS OF SCHUBERT); Russian-born composer Dina Pruzhansky (ON LOVE AND LAND) and Israeli composer/pianist Moshe Knoll (SIMPLICITY).

New Jersey Symphony Presents Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto and Elgar's Enigma Variations Led by Xian Zhang, 2/23

Acclaimed Music Director Xian Zhang and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra present Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto and Elgar's Enigma Variations, February 23-26 in Englewood, Newark, Red Bank and Morristown. Pianist Kirill Gerstein-hailed as "alarmingly gifted" by Classical Review-returns to perform the Rachmaninoff concerto, one of the most enduring works in the canon.

Hawai'i Orchestra Presents Brahms Double Concerto, 2/5

Indulge in the beautiful music of Brahms as the Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra (HSO) proudly features two of its own musicians - Concertmaster Ignace (Iggy) Jang and Principal Cellist Mark Votapek - in the Brahms Violin and Cello Concerto in A minor (also known as the Brahms Double Concerto) under the baton of Maestra Xian Zhang at 7:30 pm on Saturday, February 4 and at 4 pm on Sunday, February 5.

DCINY Presents Pianist and Steinway Artist Warren Lee at Carnegie Hall

On November 17 at 8PM, internationally acclaimed Chinese pianist Warren Lee makes his DCINY Artist Series debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall with a solo piano recital featuring the music of Bach-Busoni, Tan Dun, Beethoven, Chopin and Lee himself.

NJSO Accents: Russian Poetry Readings Follow all-Tchaikovsky Concerts,

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra presents Russian poetry readings following October 29-30 performances of the all-Tchaikovsky concert program that marks Xian Zhang's debut as NJSO Music Director. Victoria Juharyan-who earned audience raves for post-concert Russian poetry readings in 2015-returns to read poems by Tchaikovsky's favorite poet, Alexander Pushkin, and more, in the original Russian. Attendees will also hear the poems in English translation at these NJSO Accent events, which are free to concert ticketholders.
