The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents An Evening with Yanni tonight, May 9, 2012, at 8:00 p.m., at the Benedum Center. This concert is part of the Cohen & Grigsby Trust Presents series. In 2012, Yanni brings his tour to North America, followed by a South American tour in the fall, and a multi-city tour of China in 2013. The concert will feature Yanni and his world-class musicians and vocalists performing many selections from his extensive music career.

The Howard Theatre, the historic arts landmark that launched the careers of Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye and The Supremes, announces their grand re-opening after a $29 million renovation and a 32-year hiatus. The Howard Theatre will re-open the week of April 9 with an opening lineup that includes Wale, Wanda Sykes, The Roots, Robert Randolph, Taj Mahal, Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def), Meshell Ndegeocello, Bad Brains, Chuck Brown, Chuck Berry, Esperanza Spalding and a weekly Sunday Brunch featuring the Harlem Gospel Choir. George Winston, the celebrated "rural folk" pianist, returns to The Barns to perform selections from his latest release, Love Will Come - The Music of Vince Guaraldi, Vol. 2, which features originals by the late jazz pianist. Guaraldi is best known for composing and arranging the music featured in animated adaptations of the Peanuts® comic strips. In addition to Guaraldi, Winston has been hard at work on interpreting some of his favorite artists' songs for solo piano-including the Doors, Frank Zappa, Randy Newman, Sam Cooke, Curtis Mayfield, Laura Nyro, Al Kooper, Dr. John, Taj Mahal, and Philip Aaberg-several of which he has prepared for solo concert dates.

Metropolitan Talent Presents announces that France's rock star, Johnny Hallyday, will perform in New York City on Sunday, October 7th at the Beacon Theatre as part of his 2012 world tour. This marks the French icon's first full concert performance in the Big Apple, with only two concerts in the United States, Los Angeles April 24 and New York City October 7.
