ABC-TV's HERE & NOW to Feature Sibyl Renaye's THIS IS WHY I WHISPER

'Here and Now' is dedicated to covering the latest issues, news stories, and trends that are impacting the local black community. Ms. Renaye, an emerging African-American playwright, will discuss the semi-autobiographical drama she wrote as a way of working through the battle she and her sisters endured caring for their afflicted brother.

Symphony Space Presents VINCENT, 6/14 & 15

On Friday, June 14 (7:30 pm) and Saturday, June 15 (3 pm and 8:30 pm), Symphony Space presents Leonard Nimoy's acclaimed drama, Vincent, directed by Paul Stein and performed by Jean-Michel Richaud. The solo show takes place in Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia; a post-show conversation with Mr. Nimoy follows each performance. Jersey Tap Fest, NJ's sole dance festival featuring world-class tap faculty and extravaganza, celebrates four years August 22-25, 2013 in Bloomfield, NJ. The four-day festival will offer more than 30 tap dance classes and a main stage celebration event TAP 'N TIME. The Garden State tap dance festival also provides the public various opportunities to participate and interact with tap dancing through a jam session, student showcase and faculty meet and greet.

Back by popular demand, playwright Sibyl Renaye revives her award-winning autobiographical stage play, This Is Why I Whisper, at Symphony Space's Pete Jay Sharp Theatre, 2537 Broadway at 95th Street for two special showings Saturday, June 29, 2013 @ 2pm and & 7:30pm. Jonathan Valdez returns as director with Rasheda Crockett joining original cast members, Michael Gilbert, Sandra Williams, Deidre Da Silva, Keith H. Henley, Maurice A. Tucker, Eugene Daniels, Errol Dicks, and Manuel Monsante.

American Opera Projects Premieres BEAUTY INTOLERABLE in June

AOP (American Opera Projects), The Edna St. Vincent Millay Society, ClaverackLanding, and Symphony Space co-present a world premiere performance of Beauty Intolerable, a collection of love songs composed by Sheila Silver based on the poetry of iconoclast and libertine Edna St. Vincent Millay and performed by a trio of operatic chanteuses. The songs are accompanied with poetry recitations by actresses Tyne Daly (June 8) and Tandy Cronyn (June 13). The song cycle will be presented on June 8 at 6 PM at First Presbyterian Church: 4th & Warren Streets, Hudson, NY 12534. A Manhattan premiere follows on June 13 at 7:30 PM at Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Symphony Space. Tickets will be available through the venues' websites. A limited number of tickets to the Symphony Space performance which include VIP seating and a reception with the artists are available for $75 at AOP's website.

Michael Bublé Performs on ABC's DANCING WITH THE STARS Tonight

TONIGHT, APRIL 30, one couple will be eliminated on 'Dancing with the Stars the Results Show' (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET). The show will feature music by Michael Bublé who will perform 'Come Dance with Me' off his new album, 'To Be Loved.'
