L.I.P. Service Theatre Company's THE GOAT OR WHO IS SYLVIA? to Open 5/26

L.I.P. Service is thrilled to announce their production of Edward Albee's The Goat or, Who is Sylvia? Directed by Shawn Gann and starring Van Quattro, *Morgana Shaw, Garrett Reeves, and Jason Leyva. The performance will premiere at The Rudy Seppy Studio on May 26 at 8:00pm. It will run through June 11 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Brave New Productions Presents A.R Gurney's SYLVIA, Beginning Tonight at MainLine Theatre

Brave New Productions returns to the stage following the company's most ambitious production, last year's METAs Nominated '33 Variations', to present an entirely new and unique theatre experience with 'Sylvia' by A.R. Gurney. While the show currently enjoys a Broadway revival, Brave New Productions is excited to bring this hilarious and heart-warming story about a man and his dog to Montreal.

Polina Semionova Withdraws from ABT

Principal Dancer Polina Semionova will take a medical leave during American Ballet Theatre's Spring season at the Metropolitan Opera House, withdrawing from all previously scheduled performances, it was announced today by Kevin McKenzie, Artistic Director.

Adelphi Orchestra Presents WAGNER MASTERWORKS: A GRAND MOTHER'S DAY PERFORMANCE on 5/8

The Adelphi Orchestra, celebrating its 62nd season of 'Music for All'  presents a Grand Mother's Day concert Sunday May 8th in New Jersey. 'Wagner Masterworks: Tristan und Isolde: Prelude and Liebestod and Die Walkure : Act 1.' The Wagner Masterworks Mother's Day concert will be the first of two performances, held on consecutive weekends, the second performance to take place in NYC at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music.  The Adelphi Orchestra's special  Mother's Day performance of Wagner Masterworks is free and open to the public -  the first 50 individuals to reserve their seats through Eventbrite will receive a complimentary long stem rose at the concert for their Mother.

Tennessee Women's Theater Project's 10th Annual WOMEN'S WORK Festival

Tennessee Women's Theater Project's Tenth Annual Women's Work festival returns to Nashville's Z. Alexander Looby Theater beginning Friday May 6, featuring performing and visual arts created by women. Running through Sunday May 22, the festival spans a wide variety of styles and genres to offer a completely different program at every performance: poetry and essays; one-woman shows; plays and readings; dance, music, film and a display of visual art works in the theater.

Carnegie Hall Digitizes Videos of Robert Shaw's Choral Workshops; Online Now!

In celebration of what would be renowned choral director and conductor Robert Shaw's 100th birthday, Carnegie Hall will make newly-digitized videos encompassing eight years' worth of landmark choral workshops led by Mr. Shaw at the Hall during the 1990s, available online for free for the first time, allowing viewers around the world the opportunity to observe this master musician and teacher at work.

Broadway's Brian Gonzales to Star in ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS at WaterTower Theatre

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced casting and creative team details for the regional premiere of One Man, Two Guvnors, directed by Terry Martin. Written by Richard Bean, One Man, Two Guvnors will run August 5-28, 2016. Brian Gonzales, currently performing on Broadway as Babkak in Disney's Aladdin, will star as Francis Henshall. Gonzales, who last performed on the WaterTower Theatre stage in Laughter on the 23rd Floor (2010), will reprise the role he understudied in the Broadway production of One Man, Two Guvnors.
