The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) announced today that Artistic Director Diane Paulus, Pulitzer prize-winning writer Suzan-Lori Parks, and two-time Obie winner Diedre Murray have been chosen by the Gershwin Trusts and the Heyward Trust to re-imagine the Gershwins' seminal American opera Porgy and Bess.

If you can prove your name is either DANNY or SYLVIA, you will receive two tickets for the price of one. The late Lynn Redgrave has a ball singing Ira Gershwin and Kurt Weill's 'The Saga of Jenny' from Lady in the Dark. This video is taken from a PBS special called 'Musical Comedy Tonight 2,' the second of 3 specials put together by Sylvia Fine Kaye and featuring selections from classic musicals. Reprising the number with her are Danny Kaye and Richard Crenna. The special aired February 11, 1981.

SUSAN GORDON, who played DANNY KAYE'S young daughter in the well-loved 1959 film 'THE FIVE PENNIES' will attend the 2 PM matinee of 'DANNY AND SYLVIA: The Danny Kaye Musical', on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16TH and then join the musical's stars, BRIAN CHILDERS AND KIMBERLY FAYE GREENBERG, on stage for a chat and to recreate the musical counterpoint of 'Goodnight, Sleep Tight Medley' (Lullabye in Ragtime/The Five Pennies) from the film.
