When a legendary diva, one of the great voices of the 20th century, announces her return to the New York stage after an absence of two decades, fans are generally overjoyed – at first – then curious – then trepidatious – finally, hopeful that the return will be a success. 

Tony-award-winning performer John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Shortbus, Rabbit Hole) has joined the producing team as Executive Producer for Paying for It, the live-action movie adaptation of legendary cartoonist Chester Brown’s best-selling graphic novel.

It's a two-person show about two single fathers living life in Idaho. And they want to make a better life for themselves and their families. One is gay, one is straight. The gay father is trying to adopt a 2-year-old he is fostering, and the straight father is going through a divorce. It is a play about fatherhood, friendship, and hope.

The Ice Palace will present John Cameron Mitchell and Amber Martin in Cassette Roulette: An Evening of Songs and Stories. Friday, July 19th, 7pm.

Matthew Muckey, associate principal trumpet, and Liang Wang, principal oboist of the New York Philharmonic, have filed federal lawsuits against both the orchestra and the musicians’ union Local 802. The legal action, submitted to the Southern District of New York, comes after a series of complex events involving allegations from 14 years ago.
