Suzanne Petri Stars in Two-Night Tribute to Sir Noel Coward at Davenport's, Beg. Today

Chicago's acclaimed Jefferson Award nominated actress and winner of the After Dark Award for 'Outstanding Cabaret Artist' and the Chicago Cabaret Professionals Gold Coast Award, Suzanne Petri brings ' A Little Touch of Coward in the Night' to Davenport's, 1383 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago tonight and Thursday June 26th and 27th at 8pm.

Second Stage Theatre's (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) upcoming 35th Anniversary Season will kick off with the previously announced new musical LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, by James Lapine and William Finn, and will continue with the New York premiere of Quiara Alegria Hudes' THE HAPPIEST SONG PLAYS LAST, the follow-up to last season's acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning, Water by the Spoonful, and the final play in Ms. Hudes' Elliot trilogy, directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson. The season will also include the New York Premiere of Laura Eason's provocative play,SEX WITH STRANGERS, directed by David Schwimmer.

David Schwimmer Directs BIG LAKE BIG CITY World Premiere at Lookingglass Theatre, Now thru 8/11

Closing out its 25th Anniversary Season, Lookingglass Theatre Company presents the World Premiere of Big Lake Big City, written by Keith Huff and directed by Ensemble Member David Schwimmer. Tickets are now on sale for the production, running tonight, June 19 - August 11, 2013 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. Michigan Ave. at Pearson.

Northlight Theatre to Bring STELLA & LOU to Galway Arts Festival, July 16-21

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, announces that the company's acclaimed World Premiere production of Stella & Lou by Bruce Graham and directed by BJ Jones, will be presented at the Town Hall Theater in association with Galway Arts Festival in Galway, Ireland, July 16-21, 2013. Penny Slusher as Stella will join original cast members Francis Guinan and Ed Flynn for the production.

The Second City Opens LET THEM EAT CHAOS, 4/10

The Second City has announced the opening of The Second City's 101st Revue,Let Them Eat Chaos. Reviewing press are invited to attend the show on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at The Second City Mainstage Theatre (1616 N. Wells Street). A Grand Opening is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 8:00 p.m.

THE FABULOUS LIPITONES and SNAPSHOTS with Music by Stephen Schwartz to Play Goodspeed's Norma Terris Theatre

Goodspeed's 2013 Norma Terris Theatre Season will feature three musicals: a not-so-traditional barbershop quartet entertains in The Fabulous Lipitones; a marvelous summer musical yet to be announced; and Snapshots: A Musical Scrapbook, an original tuner about trusting your heart and believing in your memories which features well-known tunes from Wicked, Godspell,Pippin and many more. Directed by award-winning director Richard Shavzin, Never the Bridesmaid runs at the Polarity space at the Josephinum Academy, 1500 N. Bell St. in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago, tonight, February 26 through April 7, 2013. Press night is Thursday, February 28 at 8:00 p.m.

Baim uses essays, interviews, and hundreds of news clips and images from both mainstream and early gay publications to describe the critical role of the gay press. Award-winning historian John D'Emilio provided the book's foreword.
