Virginia's Signature Theatre presents the world premiere production of Soon, a new musical by Nick Blaemire (Glory Days, A Little More Alive). Directed by Matthew Gardiner(Signature's Sunday in the Park with George, Really Really), the ensemble piece will feature Alex Brightman (Jonah; Broadway's Matilda, Big Fish, Wicked), Natascia Diaz(Adrienne; Signature's The Threepenny Opera, Broadway's Man of La Mancha), Jessica Hershberg (Charlie; Broadway's Cinderella, Baby It's You), and Joshua Morgan (Steven; Woolly Mammoth's A Bright New Boise, Arena Stage's Fiddler on the Roof). DAH Teatar to Offer Free Workshop Performance at Georgetown, 3/30

The Georgetown University Theater & Performance Studies Program presents for one-night only Belgrade-based DAH (meaning "breath") Teatar, known for its acutely personal yet profoundly political performances. The Monday, March 30, 2015 workshop performance at 8 p.m. of their duet piece "The Quivering of the Rose," excerpted from a larger ensemble work called The Presence of Absence, gives voice to the pain and constant presence of absence endured by families of the missing - those lost to ethnic and political conflict, crime and misfortune, and to the unknown and undefined.
Oriel Theatre Company Sets Cast of THE TULIP TREE

Drayton Arms Theatre today announces the cast for Oriel Theatre Company's production of Oliver Michell's new play The Tulip Tree. Antonio Ferrara directs Piers Hunt (Paul Verrell), Alexander Shenton (J. Enoch Powell), Helen Reuben (Barbara Kennedy) and Peter Wicks (Edward Campion). The play opens on Thursday 2 April, with previews from 31 March and runs until 25 April.

As part of Boulder Arts Week, The Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts will present "Misterman." "Misterman" opens at the Dairy Center for the Arts at 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder on March 26, 2015 and runs through April 3, 2015 (No performance March 31.) All performances are at 8:00 p.m., with the exception of the 4:00 p.m. matinee on March 29. There will also be a special Industry Night performance on March 30 at 8:00 p.m. All performances will also be followed by a talkback. This is the final stop before the production relocates to New York for the fall of 2015. Press tickets are available for press night March 27.

In a dilapidated house near the ever-shifting mouth of the Mississippi, Shelah's family gathers on a stormy night for her birthday -- bringing ghosts and secrets of the past with them. As her roof buckles under the weight of the rain, Shelah's convictions begin to wash away, leaving her to excavate the truths buried below. Directed by Tina Landau, the riveting Head of Passes comes to the Bay Area straight from its critically lauded world premiere in Chicago. Head of Passes is a co-production with the Public Theater in New York. It begins previews on Berkeley Rep's intimate Thrust Stage on Friday, April 10, opens on Friday, April 17, and runs through Sunday, May 24, 2015. In the wake of the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris, the political controversy surrounding the release of The Interview, and continued suppression of plays, books, and art in American schools, libraries and museums, the battle for freedom of speech and expression is more essential than ever. Planet Connections Theatre Festivity will present an evening of world premiere plays by Erik Ehn, Halley Feiffer, Israel Horovitz and Neil LaBute addressing censorship in the arts in Playwrights for a Cause, to be held at 7:30pm on June 14, 2015 at the Sheen Center, located at 18 Bleecker Street.
InterAct Theatre Company to Premiere UNCANNY VALLEY, 4/3-25

InterAct Theatre Company continues its 2014/2015 season of world premieres with Uncanny Valley by Thomas Gibbons. The second of four National New Play Network rolling world premieres, Uncanny Valley is directed by InterAct's Producing Artistic Director Seth Rozin and features local actors Sally Mercer and Frank X (last seen in Permanent Collection). The show runs April 3-April 26 at The Adrienne, 2030 Sansom Street. Opening Night is Wednesday, April 8 at 7:00 pm. CSULB's EURYDICE Opens on March 27

The CSULB Theatre Arts Department University Players is proud to present Eurydice, written by Sarah Ruhl, and directed by Robert Prior. Playing March 27th through April 11th, Eurydice, is a contemporary retelling of the classic myth of Orpheus from the perspective of his young bride, Eurydice.
