Los Angeles' favorite clown troupe Four Clowns, still buzzing from the success of their recent award-winning Hollywood Fringe Festival engagement, teams up with the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles for an all new take on one of the Bard's most popular works. Four Clowns presents Hamlet will run for eight performances only, Fridays and Saturdays from September 18 - October 10, 2015, all shows at 8:00pm. Shakespeare's Hamlet has been appearing in various forms across LA this year, and it seems only natural for the Clowns to take on this classic story. 

Back in 2010, Veteran of seven Broadway shows and cabaret artist Rosemary Loar  performed her critically acclaimed cabaret show Sting, Stang, Stung!, which featured jazzy and emotional interpretations of the pop icon's vast songbook of hits. Now five years later, Loar is back with a new cabaret show based on the Sting songbook. Loar's STING*chronicity offers an unexpected combination of monologues with a stunning variety of arrangements featuring the music of this brilliant contemporary songwriter.

Spencer Theater Fall-Winter Season 2015-16: There's something for everyone in the 15-show line-up, all staged with superior lighting and grand acoustics at the award-winning, non-profit performance hall located 12 miles north of the mountain resort community of Ruidoso, New Mexico. Evening shows throughout the Fall-Winter-Springseason begin at 7 p.m., with dinner buffets ($20) in the Crystal Lobby starting at 5 p.m.

The Music Institute of Chicago presents Syrian musician and composer Issam Rafea and his Trio October 18 at 3 p.m. at Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Ave., Evanston. The Trio plays an astonishingly emotional and virtuosic repertoire of traditional Syrian music and new compositions for oud, tabla, and voice.

According to Deadline, a new set of con-artists is on its way to Broadway. The Sting, the 1973 Academy Award-winning film, is being adapted into a stage show by Tony winners Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone, Elf), Greg Kotis and Mark Hollmann (Urinetown).

 On Monday, September 28, 2015, Broadway stars Stephanie J. Block and Aaron Lazar will perform in "A Cabaret Evening" at 54 Below, located at 254 West 54th Street. The evening is a joint benefit in support of The New York Pops PopsEd Programs and Ronald McDonald House® New York. The two organizations partner to provide music education programs that serve as creative outlets for the children and families in residence. Hosted by Steven Reineke, Music Director of The New York Pops, the benefit will start with a champagne reception at 5:30PM followed by dinner and performance at 6:30PM.

The Joyce Theater Foundation, Linda Shelton Executive Director, proudly kicks-off its 2015 fall season on September 22 with a world premiere by Camille A. Brown & Dancers. The work, BLACK GIRL: Linguistic Play, will be performed by an all-female cast during the company's week-long engagement at The Joyce, which runs through September 27. The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) Chief Executive Officer Marci Glazer announced the outstanding thinkers, writers and entertainers that will comprise the diverse lineup for the 2015-16 Arts & Ideas season.

The Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition is the world's most visible jazz vocal competition of its kind and provides a platform for one outstanding female singer to launch a career in the music industry. The competition started in 2012 and was co-produced by NJPAC and JAZZ ROOTS, a Larry Rosen Production. Jazz fans are invited to review and vote for entries online; then five finalists are selected for a live performance at NJPAC as part of the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, where a panel of expert judges decides the recipient of the SASSY Award.

It's a double billing of out-of-this stratosphere musicianship as two renowned Grammy winners - jazz trumpeter Chris Botti and classical violinist Joshua Bell - take to the stage tonight, August 15. Botti and Bell deliver impassioned, ageless, genre-crossing music to St. Regis Big|Brave Stars, Bright Nights concertgoers, beginning at 7 p.m.

After playing to sold-out houses in January, world-renowned artist, Vonda Shepard, returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko for two performances only - Tonight, August 14 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, August 15 (7 p.m.).

George Street Playhouse announced today that award-winning vocalist MAUREEN McGOVERN will make a special appearance at the New Brunswick theatre on Wednesday, September 16 at 8pm.  Joined on stage by her music director JEFF HARRIS, Ms. McGovern will offer selections from her newest show and upcoming CD, Sing, My Sisters, Sing!
