Theater LaB Houston concludes its 21st Season of staging the BEST in contemporary theater with the Regional Premieres of Dan LeFranc's family drama - Sixty Miles to Silver Lake and the World Premiere of a new musical created and performed by Houston favorites Julia Kay Laskowski and Patti Rabazza. Also scheduled an Exclusive Engagement - the return of Steven Fales' performing Prodigal Dad the final chapter in his Mormon Boy Trilogy.

Theater LaB Houston returns with its 21st Season of staging the BEST in contemporary theater. The search for a new and intimate venue that complements TLH's home of twenty years has been found at Obsidian Art Space (OAS) located at 3522 White Oak Blvd. Houston, Texas 77007. The four new season productions will be staged at OAS as well as Cock.

Before Matt Stone, Trey Parker, and Robert Lopez's BOOK OF MORMON made Missionaries cool, Steven Fales began sharing his personal story in the riveting and compelling one-man show CONFESSIONS OF A MORMON BOY. The show first premiered at the Sunstone Symposium in Salt Lake City in 2001. Since then, he has gone on to perform the show off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse with direction by Jack Hofsiss in 2006, all over the United States, the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and London's West End in 2012.

For me, 2012 has been a fantastic year. In February, I found out I had won Broadway Across America - Houston's reviewing contest for the second half of their 2011-12 season. Having always wanted to be a theater reviewer, I was thrilled beyond imagination. Sitting in Sarofim Hall waiting for Carrie Fisher to take the stage in her one-woman show WISHFUL DRINKING, I knew I didn't want this journey to end. On May 16, 2012, I contacted BroadwayWorld, and they gave me the opportunity to cover the impressive and large Houston Theatre Scene. My tenure in Houston has not been terribly long, but as 2012 draws to a close, I wanted to take the opportunity to review some of my favorite experiences that writing for BroadwayWorld has afforded me.

Theater LaB Houston, continually bringing the best of contemporary theater in the Off-Broadway genre to Houston, is presenting Steven Fales' critically acclaimed and controversial one-man show MISSIONARY POISTION. The hilarious and poignant show is the second installment in The Mormon Boy Trilogy.

Theater LaB Houston is set to present a limited engagement for the regional premiere of MISSIONARY POSITION, written and performed by Steven Fales, from tonight, October 14-21.

Following his February 2012, sold-out seven performances - Steven Fales returns with his 90-minute solo play CONFESSIONS OF A MORMON BOY, recounting how he went from being the perfect Mormon boy in Utah to a high-priced call boy in New York City and how he found a middle ground. As Houstonians gear up for Theater LaB's special event and Regional Premiere of MISSIONARY POSITION, the second part of Steven Fales' Mormon Boy Trilogy, Steven Fales is busy in Salt Lake City. He tells me he is thrilled to be returning to Houston, especially since CONFESSIONS OF A MORMON BOY sold out before he arrived in town when he premiered the show in the region. He noted that Houston audiences loved it, and really hopes that Houston audiences will eat up MISSIONARY POSTION as well. He feels that the time in right with Romney running for president because audiences will get to see "Mormon Temple ceremonies from an insider and not someone making fun of the church from the outside."

Theater LaB Houston is set to present a limited engagement for the regional premiere of MISSIONARY POSITION, written and performed by Steven Fales, from October 14-21. His previous Mormon-inspired production, CONFESSIONS OF A MORMON BOY, will play Theater LaB Houston on the 12th and 13th of October.

Confessions of a Mormon Boy, written and performed by Steven Fales and based on original direction by Tony Award Winner Jack Hofsiss, will play March 29th - April 1st on Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 7:30 and Saturday & Sunday at 2:00 at Denver's Dangerous Theatre.
