JEKYLL & HYDE Begins Broadway Performances

The four-time Tony nominated musical sensation JEKYLL & HYDE will begin its limited Broadway engagement tonight, featuring Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis alongside Grammy Award nominee and R&B superstar Deborah Cox.

BWW Reviews: Revamped Broadway-Bound JEKYLL & HYDE Makes Hollywood Debut

Now in the final stretches of its 25-week national tour before ultimately making its sit-down Broadway transfer later this Spring, the brand-new, revamped revival of JEKYLL & HYDE - THE MUSICAL has finally returned to Southern California for the next few weeks, this time playing performances at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood through March 3. Although this loud, Vegas-style reboot's changes are swathed in good intentions, very little---not even its trio of impressively talented lead singers---can truly eradicate the show's laughably grandiose histrionics, its weak book, and that inescapable cheese-factor.

Hollywood Buys Film Rights to Broadway's JEKYLL AND HYDE

The New York Times reports that film producer Mike Medavoy ('Black Swan') and Rick Nicita of RP Media have teamed up to buy the film rights to the Broadway musical JEKYLL AND HYDE. The musical, with a book and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse and music by Frank Wildhorn, is set to return to Broadway's Marquis Theater in Spring 2013 following a 25-week National Tour.

The all-new production of JEKYLL & HYDE will make its Philadelphia premiere for a holiday engagement tonight, Dec. 26 - 30 at the Forrest Theatre.
