NUMBER THE STARS to Make its LA Debut at La Mirada

Phantom Projects Theatre Group will bring Lois Lowry's dramatic story about the Danish Resistance during World War II to life at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, one-day-only, November 19th , 2015. 

Phantom Projects Theatre Group's 9th Annual YOUNG ARTIST PROJECT Set for La Mirada Theatre, 8/8

Phantom Projects Theatre Group ends one season and begins another when they take over the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts on August 8th, 2015. First, the 2014/15 Season ends with the 9th Annual Young Artist Project at 2pm. Then, at 7pm, the 2015/16 Season kicks off with The Phantom Cabaret: A Benefit Gala Supporting Arts Education. Artistic Director/Founder of Phantom Projects Theatre Group to be Honored at Gala Event, 8/9

A collection of nearly two decades of performers will join supporters, donors, and community leaders from all over the United States for a celebratory gala at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. The event pays tribute to Steve Cisneros for his continued dedication to helping young people through the arts. 2014 also marks Phantom Projects' 17th Anniversary and because Cisneros created the organization when he was just 17 years old the event is called: From 17 to 17.

In the wake of Jonathan Pell's decision to step down after thirty years of distinguished service to The Dallas Opera, General Director & CEO Keith Cerny has announce the appointment of a new Artistic Administrator, Ian Derrer.

THE WATSONS GO TO BIRMINGHAM Plays La Mirada Theatre Tonight

September 15th marked the 50th Anniversary of the tragic bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Senators and members of Congress marked the recent anniversary with ceremonies and speeches, recalling the tragic event as a major turning point in the civil rights movement. The bombing, which killed 4 young girls, prompted calls to action from Martin Luther King, Jr, in his famous 'What murdered these four girls' speech. On November 21st, at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, this historical event will be commemorated with a one-day-only performance of THE WATSONS GO TO BIRMINGHAM, 1963. The play, based on a popular book by Christopher Paul Curtis, will be performed for the first time in California.

Phantom Projects Theatre Group Continues THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE Tour at La Mirada Theatre, 5/10

Today, May 10, Phantom Projects Theatre Group will continue its crusade of offering perspective and support through original theatre productions when it brings back The Center of the Universe to the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts at 10:00am as a field trip performance for local schools, and at 7:00pm with a public performance. The production, which features an all-youth cast and a post-show discussion, tackles the bullying, prejudice, racism, and violence through a multi-media live theatrical production.
