9thAnnual Young Artist Project, August 8th, 2015, 2pm

After over 150 applications and interviews, 8 young performers have been selected for The 2015 Young Artist Project. The annual event brings together seasoned young artists between the ages of 16 and 23 to merge their unique talents - whether writing, directing, acting, singing, dancing, etc. - in a collaborative effort, developing one-acts, musical numbers, film, and other performance pieces. The twist? The group has just 14 days from first rehearsal to final performance, to completely create, rehearse, and build the production. The only rule? It has to be amazing. Producer Steve Cisneros says, "Despite the hard work, we would just as soon cancel the show, then put something that doesn't push the creative talents of these performers; thankfully, none of the past 8 years of the Young Artist Project have ever been cancelled, at each year, our audiences are treated to a truly incredible, original performance."

The performers had never met before their first rehearsal on July 25. The 14-day intensive process annually includes a Midnight to 8AM rehearsal, spanning late Friday evening until Sunrise on Saturday. The 2015 participating artists are Andrew Cano, 22 (Garden Grove), Eileen Garrido, 16 (Downey), Hannah Joo, 21 (Cerritos), Fez Lee, 21 (South Korea), Victoria Hope Rice, 16 (Los Alamitos), Bradley Roa II, 22 (Long Beach), Tara Virgil, 16 (Westminster), and Cole Wagner, 21 (Torrance).
