Disney has kicked off production on ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY the first live-action film adaptation of Judith Viorst's 1972 illustrated children's classic.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, THE NEWSROOM's Joel Johnstone has signed on to join Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner, Ed Oxenbould, and Bella Thorne in Disney's upcoming adaptation of the classic 1972 children's book ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY.

Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, David Koechner and Paul Rudd will all star in the highly anticipated sequel ANCHORMAN 2: The Legend Continues, which hits theaters on December 20. Columbia Records will release 'The Way, Way Back: Music From The Motion Picture,' the soundtrack from the new film from writer/directors Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, today, July 2, 2013. Throughline Artists (J.J. Kandel, Executive Producer; John McCormack, Producing Artistic Director) will present SUMMER SHORTS 2013, their seventh annual festival of new American short plays from established and emerging writers, at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street).
