Set in the future, the video begins with both Steve and Nicky laying with their eyes closed and stationary on separate lab tables in what looks like a spaceship, with wires that appear to light in line with their brain activity. The camera then flashes to Kiiara, who is also lying in the same position and same place, but tangled in wires and attempting to break free from her restraints, actualizing the metaphor of someone holding you back while seeking your independence. As the video continues, viewers are able to monitor Steve and Nicky's brain waves reacting to the song through colored flashing signals traveling from Steve's brain to his hair, then to wires, and flashing laser beams seen through Nicky's eyes. At the end Kiiara breaks free from her constraints and empowers both Steve and Nicky to do the same. Steve's eyes finally open as he liberates himself.
