Joyce Breach may be 'under the radar' to some audiences but to the sophisticated and musically astute Cabaret connoisseurs in the East Side supper club Beach Cafe last night she is always someone to be seen (and heard). It was a magical night of great standards and seldom heard treasures of the American Songbook sung by a consummate artist. With pianist/singer Billy Stritch on the piano bench it was an evening that harked back to the Golden Age of New York City elegant night life.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - has announced the return of Tony Award winner Frances Ruffelle and the monthly residency of her solo theater piece "Frances Ruffelle LIVEs in New York" on Monday, April 30. An acclaimed sold-out hit since its debut in the fall of 2017, the show encompasses Broadway, Piaf, French 60s pop, and American chart hits. It features an updated version of "On My Own," Ruffelle's signature number from the original Les Miserables, a song cut from the original French production of the show.

Erich Bergen doesn't utilize his singing and dancing talents on the CBS television series Madam Secretary, but he displayed them magnificently last night at Lynn University. Jan McArt, producer of the highly popular Live at Lynn series literally had to send a car and plane to fetch Erich off the set of Madam Secretary (which is filmed in New York City) to get him on the stage of the Johnson Wold Performing Arts Center at Lynn for 'A Perfect Evening with Erich Bergen'. Jan also has to get him back to NYC after his matinee performance the following day at Lynn for the filming of this season's last episode of the the TV show.
