Just last night there was a special 'listening party' for the long awaited album, which officially comes out September 25, 2012 on Ghostlight Records. September 25, 2012 is the launch of both the premiere cast recording and the licensing rights by R&H Theatricals of Carrie the Musical. On that Tuesday, the cast (along with the creators) will gather at Barnes and Noble on 86th Street in New York City at 5pm to perform songs from the musical and to autograph the album. Dorian Missick (Southland, The Cape) and Kate Kelton (Harold and Kumar, American Psycho 2) will join the cast of Syfy's popular series Haven in recurring roles when the show returns for its third season beginning tonight, September 21 at 10PM (ET/PT). Kelton portrays the spirited and fierce 'Jordan McKee.' She's a waitress at 'The Gun & Rose Diner,' and also an influential member of a mysterious organization of 'troubled' people whose identity is known by the distinctive tattoo marking its members.

R&H Theatricals is now accepting applications to present the musical CARRIE in the US and Canada for performances beginning January 1, 2013.

Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Castle Rock Entertainment and Playhouse Productions announced today that they will present the world premiere of MISERY at Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street, New Hope PA) this fall. Written by two-time Academy Award-winner William Goldman (who wrote the screenplay for Misery as well as The Princess Bride, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), based on the acclaimed novel by Stephen King and directed by Will Frears (Coach, Year Zero), MISERY will play a limited developmental engagement of 11 performances only, November 24th through December 8th.

The cast of the revival - including headliners Marin Mazzie and Molly Ranson - will appear at Barnes & Noble (Upper East Side, 86th/Lex) on September 25 to sign copies of the album and perform selections from the show.

The Associated Press reports that actor Michael Clarke Duncan has passed away at age 54. According to a statement released by publicist Joy Fehily, Duncan died Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was being treated for a heart attack.

The Penobscot Theatre Company has announced that actor Gideon Emery will be attending the world premiere of Survivor Type, a brand new short film based upon Stephen King's classic short story of the same name.
