Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that PS Classics will record the cast album of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY on Monday, March 23, 2015. This new Broadway Cast Recording will be released on May 19, 2015. The production is currently playing at the American Airlines Theatre through July 5, 2015.

Dorothy Berwin, Mark Lee and Tom Kirdahy recently announced the second winners of the Berwin Lee Playwrights Award. The Berwin Lee Award was created to foster and promote the craft of playwriting in both the United States and the United Kingdom and to encourage the writing and production of plays. A reception will be held in their honor in New York City tonight, March 19, 2015.

Roundabout Theatre Company presented its annual 2015 Spring Gala 'There is Nothing Like a Dame' last night, March 2, 2015 in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria (301 Park Avenue, NYC). The evening was a celebration of Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe winner Helen Mirren, who was presented with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre. The tribute featured appearances by Jennifer Garner & Alessandro Nivola and performances by Laura Benanti,Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Santino Fontana, Victor Garber, Donna Murphy, Kelli O'Hara, Alessandro Nivola,Laura Osnes and Betsy Wolfe.

Vancouver, BC ~ A powerful and current Canadian premiere, two favourites of grand opera and a modern classic of musical theatre are highlights of Vancouver Opera's 56th season. The world premiere of Little Children Dream of God began preview performances Off-Broadway on January 24 and officially opens tonight, February 17, 2015 at the Black Box Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the next Roundabout Underground production, the world premiere of Ugly Lies the Bone, a new play by Lindsey Ferrentino, directed by Patricia McGregor. Ugly Lies the Bone, which was presented as part of last year's Underground Reading Series at Roundabout, is the first-ever recipient of a Special Citation of Excellence from The Laurents / Hatcher Foundation. The cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

- Cygnet Theatre will continue its run of presenting Southern California premieres with Sons of the Prophet, the latest work by Stephen Karam (Speech and Debate). Premiering at New York's Roundabout Theatre in 2011, Karam was hailed as 'a major new voice in American Theater.' His brutally funny and explosive comedy was a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize and has received multiple other awards including the 2012 Drama Critics Circle, Outer Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel and Hull-Warriner Awards for Best Play. The production runs tonight, January 15 - February 15 at Cygnet Theatre in Old Town. Opening Night for Media is Saturday, January 24, 8 pm.
